My DD biggest complaint about the dorm was the bathrooms, she started timing her mornings to immediately after the cleaning lady came. Her dorm building was the first dorm for girls on campus and is a historical building so it is kept up nicely, just shy of 100 years old. So pretty.

I can see you missing that apartment. My DS misses college life, just not the homework/classes. When he did the college program there were 2 per room. Now they are stuffing 3 and 4 in the same rooms. I'm surprised that even flies with the fire department.

As to your last (sentence) observation, I doubt it does fly with the fire dept. Student living arrangements are notorious for breaking codes, both in campus housing and in private, off-site rentals. In our city, the inspection department issues hundreds of violation notices, but they can't make it around to every building or house. Plus, there are some unscrupulous landlords that "hide" the fact their property is a rental at all.

@Soarin' Over Pgh since you have a nice backyard, do you ever grill out there? I was thinking of Daisy yesterday afternoon, while I was barbecuing chicken and grilled vegetables. The reason is that my dog goes bonkers when he smells barbecue! (Then again, he goes bonkers over indoor cooking too—this dog loves to eat!!)

I finally gave him a few small pieces of chicken in his dog bowl, along with his regular dog food. He devours the chicken pieces and leaves the dog food; he then stares at me, waiting for more chicken. Nope. Go eat your dog food! ;)

I can't walk past the kitchen without Daisy being two steps behind me. But I trained her as a puppy to sit in the doorway and not enter the kitchen when I'm in there...so now she sits in the doorway looking utterly pitiful.

I don't BBQ because I don't have a grill :( but when I cook anything, she's there. If I open the fridge, she's there and she wants some. The pantry door? Same. Cabinets? Yep, there's the dog. It's an added bonus when the cat also joins the begging pitiful doorway party.

Daisy usually gets a banana or a peach or an apple with her kibble. I had to buy a special bowl for her, it's a "slow down" bowl...because she eats so damn fast she chokes. I also have to add water to her kibble, to slow her down. She's part beagle, part jack Russell, and part Hoover vacuum.

Yeah, the Disney College Program bedrooms were very tight with two CPs in a room, the chart that I saw a few weeks ago had bunkbeds added to bedrooms making it even tighter. I can't imagine what they are doing for dresser, closet, safe, bathroom, refrigerator space now with additional CPs in those units. Hope they build another complex for the students soon, that has to be tense after a few weeks for the units that have had their occupancy upped.

and they shared a 6 drawer dresser between 2 CPs.

I had a boy and girl golden retriever. The boy I adopted directly from a family, he was a 4 month old pup living with his sister. Sudden Medical reasons they couldn't keep the Pups and adopted them out. They lived in a crate for a few weeks in the basement and ate from the same bowl of kibble. I think it was likely a race to who could get their fair share. While I never fed him or the golden I already had from the same bowl or near each other he til the day he passed gobbled that food down. Girl dog til I brought him home ate a bit came back later ate some more. She learned to eat it all or he would steal her food.

Well Michael Strahan is back on the market dodging 3rd marriage. Thinking he will be just fine with the three jobs, NFL games, Kelly & Michael and Good Morning America. Whoosh. One of those would be plenty.

Well I've decompressed enough to walk the Pup.

In the shower and hearing repeated screams outside of "Help Me, Someone help me." and repeat and repeat.

My blind-ish neighbor down the road got turned around, took shrapnel in Vietnam to the face. Me pulling on cloths and guiding him home. Said his old girlfriend was coming for a visit and he didn't want to miss her. Awe. Hope it is true and not more confusion.

Okay, that's it. You and @PUSH need to let your parents know that I am trading them one of mine for each of you two.

I promise to let you use my car, take you to Disney at least once/year, lend you money on the seemingly never-repayment-plan (oh wait, that's my brothers), pay your cell phone bill, and I'll still keep the cleaning lady for those icky jobs we don't want to do.
I'm not sure if I could go to the Canadian wardrobe - all flannel.
