That is awesome!! Not to be nosy, but how do you do it? How do you all afford so many incredible Disney trips like that?
Well, my father is a lawyer. So that means we're well-off. My parents bought into DVC when I was 3 and have managed to save money that way (don't ask me how, my dad is the one who has the system down to a science). We get discounts and such from that, plus it means the room is basically paid off. We get annual passes which gives even more discounts and since we go so much, it gets us about two to three trips in. My dad I believe belongs to a few rewards programs. And other than that, we're just wise about money when we're at home. Ya know, don't spend it needlessly, don't eat out except for crabs occasionally and baseball games, don't get expensive cell phone plans, don't go to the movies a ton, basically save money where we can. When we're away at WDW, we find ways to save. My dad gets the Tables in Wonderland card which saves us on meals. We don't buy a ton of souvenirs. Mostly my brother and I get shirts down there, which we need anyway (seriously, I don't know when the last time I went shopping for non-dressy shirts was) and artwork on occasion. Instead of getting the two bedroom MK views at BLT, we get the studio with the standard view to save points. Just little things that add up. We're able to afford two-three WDW trips per year and four vacations total.

EDIT: I forgot. Dad also invested in Disney stock and we all have Disney Visas, which somehow gives us extra rewards. And we usually fly Southwest, a company that my dad has down to a science.

That is amazing, and I bet you all have great experiences. Do you get to use DVC (or any timeshare points) to other places like New York City, Washington DC, Miami, etc? Sounds like it pays off in the long haul.

It does pay off in the long haul, especially if you want to vacation in WDW or other Disney resorts.

You can trade in for other hotels in other areas, but my dad looked at the comparison and said that it wasn't worth the value of the points to trade. So if we go elsewhere (usually only for long weekends) we just pay out of pocket. If we want to go to DC we can drive (not that we ever have, one of these days). Dad refuses to go to NYC, one of his weird quirks along with the fact that he will not leave the US . For a beach vacation we usually go to Hilton Head Island, SC. Disney has this nice little out of the way property exclusively for vacation club members. Not anything like WDW or DLR. They have their own small island within an island and they have cabin-like rooms where you can stay, and then they have a beach house about a mile away. It's really laid-back, no characters, one very small gift shop. You can fish, explore the island, there are kayaking trips, bike riding, horseshoes, shuffleboard, activities throughout the day, lots to do. We go down there in December just to chill and we're thinking of going again next June since we haven't been in a while. In June when we go there we tack on a few days at Disney. The other place they have is in Vero Beach. I really want to try there one time; I've heard it's lovely. So basically you've got WDW, DLR which is your base for SoCal, Aulani, Vero, and Hilton Head. I've heard rumors of a possible stand-alone hotel in DC as well since Disney has that property, but those are just rumors for now.

I think you can also trade the points for Adventures by Disney trips. I think.

This is getting really weird... On Shark After Dark Live tonight, they had a David Hasselhoff clip.

Just posting to say we're here now and it has been hot!!!
Isn't it always hot in August? That's why I spend most of my days by the pool and in the water parks, lol! Though Friday I'll be at MK. With all this rain and me wearing jeans and jackets, I'd love some heat! Bring it on!:D
