I got Dorothy. :hilarious:
You got Dorothy!
You are a born leader, extremely loyal, and have a knack for quick comebacks. Your well of knowledge is deep and broad (like your shoulder pads). Despite your tough exterior, you're willing to exhibit patience and understanding. One exception to the rule: any story that starts with "Back in St. Olaf...".
I got Dorothy too. :)

When our kids were little, they rarely, if ever, slept in our bed.
I never even had their crib/bassinet in our room as newborns. All upon the advice of my mom.

What I miss though, is Saturday mornings when they would both hop in bed with Hubby and I for snuggles, tickles, and a half hour of nonsense, before Mommy had to leave for work.

Now, they can scarcely stand to be in the same room as us.

That's what I meant about "you're going to miss this".

All good, I understood your post. :) That used to happen at our house all the time, especially on weekend mornings, when they were little. I, especially, just didn't want them sleepin' in our bed overnight, unless it was absolutely necessary. :)
Sorry about the other stuff. Ours are (as well as DWifey and myself)still always plannin' stuff for us to do together as a family. All the way from just meetin' for dinner to vacations and stuff, and it's very cool...!

All a' that first part up there kinda' reminds me of this scene from "Raising Arizona"... ;)

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
I remember reading that. Great casting decision. I can't imagine them playing the original parts.
The main reason was that BW had already played a vamp on MTM, and Rue had played the doe-eyed innocent on Maude.

From Wikipedia (of course):
White was originally offered the role of Blanche in The Golden Girls, and Rue McClanahan was offered the role of Rose (the two characters being similar to roles they had played in Mary Tyler Moore and Maude, respectively). Jay Sandrich, the director of the pilot, suggested that since they had played similar roles in the past, they should switch roles, Rue McClanahan later said in a documentary on the series. White was originally afraid to play Rose, feeling that she would not be able to play the role – until the show's creator took her aside and told her not to play Rose as stupid but to play her as someone "terminally naive, a person who always believed the first explanation of something."

Today, per the usual, I went to Bestie's grandparents' house. They normally invite a group there from our religious group to go swimming on Mondays during the summer. I drive separately from my mom now so I can get there and leave when I need to. Well, today, I got there, and one of my mom's friends was leaving. This was the conversation.

Friend: Are you here by yourself?
Me: No, my mom's here.
Friend: But you drove a CAR here by yourself?
(Note: I got my license two and a half years ago)
What I wanted to say: Nah, golf cart
What I actually said: Um, well, I am 19 and have had a license for over two years.
Friend: But you used to be so little? How can you drive a car?
Me: o_O

There is no answer to questions like that.

I asked my DD to fill out some paperwork for a extended warranty cause I forgot my glasses. The dude maybe 20ish was like *whoa* to my DD, sorry, you've got to be 18 years old to fill this out. My DD o_O followed by well I'm 22 so I guess I'm too old. Stupid.

Nope. Still Rose.

You got Rose!
You are kind, generous, and always optimistic. Even though you might be one cheese ball short of a full tray, that won't stop you from making friends everywhere you turn. Be careful to overwhelm your friends with stories of yesteryear, it may result in unwanted newspaper smacks.

But better than Sue Ann Nivens.

Our neighbors have been having band practice out in their workshop all day today. Normally (obviously) I wouldn't mind but if I have to hear "Pour Some Sugar On Me" one more time, I think I will go throw some at them. :grumpy::joyfull:

*Pixie Dust*

My new neighbor is babysitting her Dad's 2 dogs, last weekend it was one. Both old, one a Jack Russel (but it is not) and the other is a beagle. Today while she was at work two men were demo'ing her 1st level bath. They brought their dog. Put him in yard all day, boxed the other two up on the deck. The beagle barked in this high pitch howl for 3 straight hours at the dog down in their yard. She came home for lunch and it stopped and started all over again. Still was going on at 645...and then deafening quiet.
