When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Here's something that'll make you feel better.

You passed Hatter and Figgy
Thank you. That was going to be my next comment.

I noticed that I had passed Hatter last night, and Figgy this morning.

Thank you for the "likes".
I couldn't have done it without you. All of you.

I do believe however, that I have progressed as far as I am going to.
Ahead of me are 5 very active, eloquent members.

What happened to Figgy?

This is from some page on my university's website. It's a pull-down option for "gender"... they have a weird definition of "gender". o_O

The event last night went very well. Everyone seemed to have a great time. :)
Every time I attend one of these events, I find it harder and harder to complain about all the little crap that happens to me from day to day. Some of these kiddos have known nothing other than cancer their whole lives. It's quite humbling to see how brave they are.
The one girl that we helped send to WDW this past Sept., with all of her family, was there. She looked better than we've ever seen her. She is one of those that has known nothing but being sick her whole life, and the cancer has made her legally blind. Despite all, she continues to fight. Her hair is coming back, she's gaining weight, and she was doin' an awesome amount of giggling last night. So very good to see! :)
She goes back to the Dr. up in Dallas next month for more tests, and there is a hopeful possibility that she will get an all clear. If so, it will be the first time she has been in remission for over a decade.
Please pray for her and all the other brave little fighters.
Thank you.

We also experienced some crazy excitement on the drive back home after the event...
We were sitting at a red light at a busy intersection. I was in the front passenger seat. I heard a high pitched revving sound and glanced in the side mirror just in time to then see this guy on a crotch rocket lock up his breaks while sliding inches from us past my window right into the intersection where cross traffic had a green light for the turn lane! He stopped inches before slamming into the bed of a pickup. My first thought was "What the heck?!?! Is the guy drunk or just not payin' attention, or what?!?!" He then scooted past the truck and burned out down the road as I got my answer from the sirens we heard comin' up behind us...! The cop Chargers that went by us on the same side were in hot pursuit. We had to wait for the next light cycle, so we watched 'til the lights disappeared over the next hill. Have not heard any news as to how this may have ended. Hope no innocent people were hurt.
I've seen stuff like that a few times before, but, the kiddos, and even DWifey, said it was a first for them.
Oldest DD, who was driving, was not amused.
After all a' that, it was then decided that a pit stop for some ice cream was in order...! ;) :)

Alrighty, gotta' fly for now...
So busy yesterday that we've chosen to be a bit lazy, so far, today. Time to get to it, though.
With some of the recent rains, I've got a bit of yard work to attend to, again.
Hope to see y'all after while! Have a Magical!!!
Laterrrrrrrrrrr...!!!!! :)
