At least you don't live here - MTA/LIRR contract negotiations broke down - they are preparing to strike. Commuting on Long Island - anywhere - is going to be a disaster with no railroad. And my cousin is coming up from Tampa next week and we're planning to go to Manhattan for a day. I do NOT want to have to drive.

Oh lourde that does NOT sound like a good time. :\ Hope they get their stuff together and not strike before it affects everyone.

They are starting the contingency wind down schedule Wednesday. Tomorrow should be OK.
