Hah, yup, although they know I'm nor a morning person and probably won't think much of it. The only other time I've had insomnia this badly was when I was having a really bad asthma attack and didn't realize it. This time I double checked and no asthma, so I have no clue what's going on. I just put something in my stomach...
hoping that was the issue. But if not, hoping at PT they know what the issue might be.

Meanwhile, I have posted on this thraed and others and looked up scholarships for school since my tuition went up.

After your night of insomnia, at least you can look forward to sleeping like a rock tonight. You'll be so tired after today, that sleeping won't be a problem later.

Good luck with your scholarship search. College tuitions are ridiculous, and many students are paying off school loans well after they graduate.

Hoping to get a nap today. That combined with some exercise should help.

Oh my gosh, you make me sound so shallow.

I already told you I don't sweat. Not effectively anyway.
I truly do not sweat to the degree that regular people do, and therefore just get overheated, turn a hideous shade of purple, and occasionally pass out. I have to be very careful about overdoing it in extreme heat, or spending more than 20 minutes in the hot tub.

And, naps are good for everyone. Don't you forget it!

Oh I didn't mean AT ALL to imply paying people is a bad thing (well...for certain things...yes definitely bad :bored:). I WISH I could be more of a participant in the service industry. I just get anxiety when I think of spending money on things that I can do. Like really bad anxiety. Especially the nail place - that's the worst. I'm sure if I had 2 older boys contributing to the mess that hubby leaves around (he's a pig - a sloppy pig) I would need to rethink that strategy.

It was a brutal winter and they all grew additional undercoat that they hung onto a month or so longer than they should have. Note the picture of Walt today being groomed. He was scrubbed and blown dried with a dryer that has a force of 248 CFM. Now if you don't want to pay $500 for a dog dryer, I highly recommend a trip to the groomer once a season when they shed the worst. The $50-$60 dollars is worth the ridding yourself and home being covered in fur. They will blow it all out in one visit. And don't forget to tip the groomer.

Lol I bathe the dog myself too. That one is different though - he has short hair and does not need to be groomed in any way.

I suppose I am a bit of a George Costanza in that way - how did Elaine put it - "you're extremely CAREFUL with money".

FYI - I was not offended in any way.

I too am ridiculously cheap, in many ways. I haggle prices wherever I go. I use my MasterCard for everything, so I can get a 10 cent/litre discount on gas. I compare shop. I clip coupons. I use all of the free reward cards.

After a half dozen hair colouring fiascos over the years, I no longer colour my own hair. My SIL/BFF is a non-practising hair dresser, so generally she cuts and colours my hair for free. She hates doing highlights however, so those I get done at the salon.

I bathe my dog myself. But being a cocka-poo, she needs regular clipping. In the grand scheme of things, $35 four times/year is the least of my worries. I pay $500 per month for gas, plus another $250 in tolls. Hubby pays double!

And the cleaning lady is my former SIL. She was with Bro #1 for almost 20 years. This is the brother who was disabled in a car accident years ago. She is a functional illiterate who lost her job in her early 30's. They were barely making ends meet, so I used to buy them a $250-$300 grocery gift card every month. More when I could afford it.
Being able bodied, proud, and grateful, she proposed cleaning my house in exchange. At the time, I was working 6 days/week, out of town (as per usual), and had two small kids, so I took her up on it. So essentially my monthly donation morphed into a paid position. Sadly, as my kids have gotten older, they have become even bigger slobs. She used to only come 8 hours every other week. Now I have her come for a "half clean" (4 hours) the week in between.
She has since taken up house-cleaning as a full time job. I got her a position with my next door neighbour, and from there it just blossomed. She is an excellent cleaner, and makes my house worth coming home to.

And, I'm a little lazy. So, there's that too.

Have you tried sticking out your tongue and panting? I heard that works for some critters. ;) Seriously, that sounds terrible. All of a sudden I am glad that I sweat. You didn't deny getting tired watching the cleaning lady and needing more naps then most of us regular non-shallow folks.:joyfull:

I love the backstory. You have a kind heart - I like that about you. :)

Something tells me this guy MAY need some professional assistance. And not with obtaining that parcel of land.

As an aside - we went to a 2 year old's birthday party on Saturday and when my daughter asked her who her favorite princess is she replied, "You are". So I asked her again later. And she replied, "Audra is my favorite princess". No matter who asked her, the response was always "Audra". If you asked who her favorite DISNEY princess is, she replied "Cinderella".

So, there's that too.

I bathe and groom both cat and dog on a regular basis. I've taken them to the groomers and it... it didn't end well. The cat scratched up the groomer (oops.) and Daisy shook so badly the groomer couldn't get near her to clip her fur. After blowing $100 on two failed haircuts I went to Target and bought a $35 electric men's shaver with 10 size clips.

Daisy holds perfectly still for me and lets me shave her fur down. She only fusses with the paws. Because of her mix (beagle- jack russell, they're called "jackabees") she gets this weird puffy white fluff fur on her chest, and a wire curl straight down her back. She looks OLD and fat with a full coat, so for my own vain reasons I keep her trimmed year round. In the winter I don't trim it as short (I use clip #3 or 4), but in the summer she gets clip #1- very short. She seems quite happy with it and loves to be brushed.

If I don't keep her butt and tail in nice, trimmed order, her butthair talks to me when she walks and I can't stand it. Her tail has a born-with-it bend and I trim it so ...you really can't tell unless you stare. We affectionately refer to it as "muttenbutt".

The cat requires one person to hold and the other to shave, but in the summer, she hates her fur just as much as I do, and lets me shave her without any hassle. It's hard to get her belly though, so I recruit someone to help.

They both get brushed daily, and it really helps with the fur shedding. Plus, they love it :)

And it's not that I'm cheap (I am) but I'm broke as hell (truth) and would rather my dog NOT be returned to me a shaken, terrified mess like the time she went to the groomers. We only go to get her nails clipped- I could do it myself, but I cut one nail too short and it scared me so badly I simply won't do them again. Even still, that's like, $10, and only once a month. The cat's nails I can do, she doesn't fight me.

And there you have it, so much more crap you never wanted to know about me and my kids but now do. :joyfull:

That's 'cause your organization is not owned by Peter Angelos. Also, not baseball, but I've been alive for two Superbowl wins, so I have experienced it. Just sayin'.

I also torment because the Yankees fans down here come and take over our stadium and are perhaps the rudest fans we have to deal with (I'm sure that does not apply to you, I'm sure you're like the Yankees fans in front of us who were polite and clapped only when their team did something well, which I didn't mind). So it's nice when we whip up on them every once in a while, and hilarious to see Bostons fans coming out just to boo the Yankees.
One of my favorite moments at the NY Yankees victory parade in 2009 was this one guy trying to start a "Phillies suck" chant and instead got several hundred stink-eyes and people telling him to focus his energy for cheering for the team that is passing by in front of him.
