Not really, the cat could use his Jedi powers to destroy the Sharknado. :cat:
And a Sharknado could use its Sharki powers to destroy the cat.

You guys will all be sorry when a Sharknado comes around and you're underestimating it. I, on the other hand, will be fully prepared. Even then it will be tough to overcome, but at least I'll stand a chance.

Our photo is on our student ID already, the student ID gets us into buildings, we schedule our classes months before, you can purchase items at the bookstore online and have them ready to pick up or shipped to you, and there's never been a need to reserve a seat for the dining hall and I imagine it would only complicate things. So...

Did the same people who designed that system design My Magic+?
Our dining area(s) get super crowded and there would be a need to reserve seats. Luckily I don't live on campus and never need to eat on campus.

I'm thinking I'll be applying for that 2nd job I told you guys about. I just checked the schedule for the week of the 20th, and they gave me 9 total hours. That means the next two weeks I'll work 19 total hours when I said I wanted around 30 every week. Not only do I get the crap hours (yes, I got the 4am shift again), but I am not getting near the amount of hours they said I would get.

The good news is the manager who does the schedules will be leaving at the end of the month, but I can't wait until then for things to get better since I have tuition and things to pay for.

Can you get better hours just working at just the 2nd place instead of doing double duty?

Said good-bye to my neighbor of 29 years. We moved onto our road 9 months apart. Had to say good bye to her Pup too. Don't know what Walt will do without him to have a barkfest with. Boy her kitty was PO'd though. Rough morning.

I kept my key to let the buyer in late this morning for her walk through. 26 years old, full of energy. I was 26 when I bought this house but it was my third home I purchased by then. She is so excited that it made me feel a little less sad. Closing tomorrow at 2pm and said she will be moving in at 4pm. Her property will sit between me and the Sheriff's property.

Oh, that's sad. Sorry to hear that your long-time buddy had to move away. Can you still keep in touch once she moves elsewhere? With technology like Skype, you two could still have nice chats together—and you could also bring Walt into the camera view. He could see the pup from her new home, and they could continue to have barkfests via Skype! For you and Walt, it would "almost" be like old times. :)

That's lousey that they're not giving you enough hours. People in college need every dollar they can possibly make, with the high cost of tuition, books, labs, food and transportation. My hunch (and it's only a hunch) is that it sounds like they (intentionally) hired too many people, because they assumed not all would stay for the duration of the summer. That way, if a few took off, they'd still have plenty of people to work, and they'd give those remaining people more hours, when they needed them. (I hope I'm wrong.)

Well, however this all shakes out, I hope you get more hours there, or can supplement with another job. (And if the other job turns out better, and you can go full-time with them, then do what's best for your own situation.) We're all wishing the best for you.

I'm not sure. I'm assuming so, but I think it would look bad to start and then quit a few weeks later. What I would probably do is say I'd be able to work Sunday-Wednesday at the new place and tell the current place I'm only able to work Thursday-Saturday.

We are actually underemployed, so I don't know why I'm not getting hours. My guess is the manager schedules the longer tenured employees first and then fits newer employees wherever they fit, but that has no real evidence to back it up... just my guess.

It's kind of sad if I do have to end up getting a 2nd job (or a different one entirely) because I really like most of my coworkers, and it's not a terrible job. But the schedule and hours need to improve for me to cover my school expenses, which is priority #1.

But you could personalize your CollegeBand+ - you have your choice of seven lovely colors (red, blue, green, pink, yellow, orange or gray) with rumors of more being available soon! You can have your name or nickname (up to 9 characters) printed on it and you can customize it using the tons of decorative accessories that are available for just a nominal fee - all of which can be charged using your CollegeBand+!!!! In fact why not customize it differently everyday to match your ensemble!!!!

Remember: If you don't have CollegeBand+, you're not getting the "whole college experience"!!!!!
What, no purple?
