I used to sprinkle salt on to my watermelon.

A little salt is added to a lot of sweet stuff to make it taste sweeter than it really is...go figure.

Honestly, I have never even thought about putting salt on my sweet watermelon, nor can I remember knowing anyone that ever has.
I can, however, see how combining them in the right ratio could possibly serve to enhance the flavor of one or the other (salty or sweet) through the contrast of tasting the two at the same time.

So they did the procedure on her stomach with the scope and found nothing. So they're really just guessing at this point. She's been eating more tonight from what my dad's said. Now it sounds like she could be in the hospital for a couple more days.

I don't think anybody really knows what's going on.

Evening all. Well, yesterday I wasn't feeling well. After dinner my stomach really felt bad. Then I was up several times through the night with it. This morning I didn't feel well and had a headache in addition to the nausea. Then at around 2:30 after losing my lunch, I told the office manager I wasn't feeling well and would like to go home. They let me, so I came home and took a nap at 3 only to wake up at 8. And I STILL don't feel well.:depressed:
You know the "like" was only for the nap, right?
I certainly don't like that you are ill.

It looks scary. Wonder what made them decide that was a good idea to add to the menu?

I was really disappointed. It could have been good but dried out bacon and incredibly dry cupcake with a sweet frosting topped with pretzels, well it just didn't work. Makes me sad when something is that bad and Disney lets that recipe hit the Food Festival of Flower and Garden.

That's lousey that they're not giving you enough hours. People in college need every dollar they can possibly make, with the high cost of tuition, books, labs, food and transportation. My hunch (and it's only a hunch) is that it sounds like they (intentionally) hired too many people, because they assumed not all would stay for the duration of the summer. That way, if a few took off, they'd still have plenty of people to work, and they'd give those remaining people more hours, when they needed them. (I hope I'm wrong.)

Well, however this all shakes out, I hope you get more hours there, or can supplement with another job. (And if the other job turns out better, and you can go full-time with them, then do what's best for your own situation.) We're all wishing the best for you.
Companies also on purpose do not give full hours. So they do not build a "record" for retirement plans or increase working salaries.
Its a well known trick in my country. They firing the guys after a first year.. then rehiring them after a 3 month "vacation" or so.

They (over)did it.

Oy. They should taste it before they served it, twits.

I went to a fest this evening that we go to every year for 25+ years, often multiple times over 4 days. I had a porkchop on a stick that reviled anything I've ever had that I've drooled over at Disney. I could see by how they were BBQing it on the open charcoal grill that they were par-baked then grilled up. They were an inch and a half thick and lightly season before they went back on the grill with salt. The salt with the seared browned crust from the grill, well yummy. Served with real baked beans that melted in your mouth and angel hair coleslaw. *insert drooling smiley face here* :hungry:

Well that was a fun 30 or 45 minutes. I accidentally bumped a small snow globe off the top shelf of my desk. It then broke and made a big mess. It got on my bed, too. Luckily we had some old fitted bedsheets and I still have my old comforter in my closet. Still waiting before I put stuff back on my desk because I want to get some disinfectant wipes to wipe it off because that stuff stinks so bad, and there was glitter in it too. I'm not a big fan of glitter on all of my stuff.
