I like sitting on the beach and watching the displays in other towns going off in the distance on either side of you.

It used to be like that around here, and still is in surrounding areas. Our neighborhood used to have one every year that rivaled the giant one the city (Austin) put on, so we quit going downtown to see that one. The last time we ever saw Austin's was from the 15th floor office along the lake downtown of the insurance company Dwifey worked for way back when. Too many people, too much time in traffic getting there and back home.
Then, as our neighborhood was getting closer to being annexed by the city (were it's illegal to sell, buy, posses, or set fireworks off) our neighborhood stopped doing the yearly displays. But, we were not yet annexed, so fireworks were still legal here. By that time, the upper middle class neighborhood across the road from us had already been annexed, so tons of families from there would pool there money and come over to one of our parks were ours used to be held to set them off. It was absolutely nuts!!! I've never seen fireworks displays that, literally, went on for 1-1.5hrs. straight. NO JOKE. There were usually about 3-4 groups of these families that seemed to be in competition and trying to out do each other every year. My parents live across the street from the middle school and catty corner from the park were this would take place. We would all hang out there and watch. And, all around us in all the surrounding, un-annexed, areas the same thing would be happening. The skies were just gloriously lit up! Then, of course, annexation came and it was all over.
We sure do miss that, but surrounding communities still have formal ones, and, of course, people around here still set LOTS of them off around here in spite of the law, just not in an organized manner. It was pretty loud around here the night of the 4th!

Nothing specific on the package we have, there are some services on the internet where you can watch training videos on command, but they don't seem to be able to watch a video and then go out and perform the lesson in the arena. So no TV's in the barn, but we do have a sound system tuned to a country music station. I tried rock a couple of times, but apparently they are not fans of Faith No More and Alice in Chains. They came in the barn, slammed on the brakes and started snorting. So country it is....

This is the reason I'm still living at home. People can call me a free-loader all they want, but if my parents are willing to let me stay here, I'm going to take advantage of that. Tuition puts me in enough debt as is.

Yeah I understand that debt thing. It is sucidoodles. I can argue either side of the debate on going away to college or staying at home. They both have they advantages. My kids wanted to go away to college and I wanted them to have that experience but that isn't the right situation for every student and their families.
