It's so old, and I've pretty much always been the target of his temper tantrums regardless of whether it's my fault again. Usually I find that restraining him and otherwise ignoring the behavior works the best. He's looking for a reaction. I fail to do that and it becomes less satisfying. My parents recently have begun punishing that behavior. If he hits me at home and connects, he immediately gets sent to his room. If we're out, there's still some form of punishment. My mom once had to take him out of the park and back to the room when we were at WDW.

Good for you guys for figuring it all out. I guess as he is aging he will have more umpf behind those whacks.

She doesn't have any coffee maker in the house since hers broke. She buys it every morning on the way to work. She would rather leave the Kuerig in the box than get rid of the plants (that she hates, she admits) that take up all the counter space in her kitchen.

Oy. I have very little counter space left. More and more appliances keep getting added. I have Kuerig and Coffee Pot next to each other. At least they match. I'm in the beginning phase of planting outside, finally. I love love digging holes and planting stuff, my property is so pretty in the Spring Summer. Oddly I don't have tolerance for plants in my house. I have one 3" cactus on my kitchen windowsill that I bought cause it is a hidden Mickey. It makes me smile. I also have to green plants that are high end silk. The only maintenance they need is to be dragged downstairs and hosed off every once in a while.

He already does. There have been a few times that he's set off a migraine in me or that he's made an existing one worse. Last year before he went to middle school it had gotten really bad. So bad that my parents were discussing the possibility of professional help. Now he's more settled and it's better, but I wouldn't be surprised if it eventually comes down to that, especially as the hormones start kicking in. All in all though, pretty easy to deal with. My mom was substituting for middle school the other day, and she came home and said, "You and your brother have never been that difficult" and then went on an hour long rant.

I'm not sharing the link, as the image is positively gruesome, but did y'all hear about the python that swallowed the child in New York last month?

Nature is scary.
Um...no offense, but I'm not sure that story is real. I searched it, and the only results I came up with were not reputable news outlets. I think if it were real, it'd have been all over the news. Not only that, but the photo I found i used a reverse image search and it was associated with the boy being swallowed was also associated with a drunk man being swallowed in India, and that story wasn't verified either. Just a little fishy.

Still, it's happened before, and yes, nature is scary

It showed up on my FB page, along with that awful pic. :hungover:
I would very much like it not to be legit.
Thx.

That last sentence made me smile. Way to put it into perspective Mom!

So IF we decide to go back this November, it will be 180 days from today.

I just booked dinner at Kona Café. Will need to wait until tomorrow to book the next one. We already decided that IF we are going, we are waiting for a % off discount and paying out of pocket for food. We eat WAY too much on the meal plan. So I am booking more reasonably priced venues. We are looking at Captain's Grill, Yak & Yeti (my dad LOVES the ribs), Teppan Edo (kids' favorite) and either Rainforest or TRex at Downtown Disney (maybe the @Nemo14's will be around?!) and of course, the Hoop dee Doo.

Now I need to continue to pretend I'm not ready to go back.

Do you think the mine train will be open for my trip?! Gosh I hope so since it's all really about me!!!!!

The mine train will be in refurbishment by then.

I like the DDP when it's free but would never pay for it.

Hope you're able to make the trip. Where would you stay?

possibly, but probably not. We'll be in Bradenton for 3 weeks at the end of September (probably coming up to WDW to have breakfast at Kona with George,Scott, Monty, Richard and a few others for the ToT ten miler), so I don't think we'll get back there in November. We'd like to go back to TN in December but that's not a definite yet. Sorry...:(
