My brother and I never would have behaved that way. We had been going to nice restaurants in WDW from the time we were babies (and we went twice a year) and were taught how to behave from a young age. If we had behaved that way, our Mom would have taken us out and we would not have liked it. And then if we still misbehaved, then Dad would have taken us out, and that would have been even worse.

Yep. As were my kids. I can only remember once, ever. My DS was removed from a restaurant by the Dad. He was 4 and my folks only met us there to bring him a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle we had problems finding. He was told he needed to finish eating first and my Dad was telling him it was OK he could open it he didn't have to eat. Ahhhh.

I wasn't as ticked at the kid but at my Dad, but my DH took DS out because ugly didn't need to be seen by the rest of the folk in the restaurant. That kinda sums up my Dad, what he says goes, he rules or so he believes. Silly Man. Other than that day my kids were angelic angels in restaurants they knew nothing less than perfect behavior would be tolerated in public. It really isn't a tough task to get kids to behave, you just have to put in the effort, give a darn, teach and be consistent.

Yay for your parents being one of the good ones.

When I was in high school I had AP Calculus 1st period. The classroom was on the 2nd floor and the window faced the student parking lot. One morning my teacher spotted a classmate who was obviously blowing off the class driving into the lot about 20 minutes into class. He ran to the window, opened it, waved his arms and screamed, "Leah!! Leah!!! Up here Leah!! Don't worry about being late!!! We'll wait for you!! You won't miss anything!!!" She walked into class 5 minutes later, and her face was a shade of purple I've never seen on another human being.

Oh, it's funny. When he says it once and then does what you ask. When he says it five times and still ignores you...not so funny then.

The funny thing about that is if my parents aren't home and I ask him to do something, he does it right away, usually without question (sometimes he whacks me on the head. I ignore it and reiterate the command). If my parents are home but not around he will do it without question. My parents come in, and it becomes a huge argument. Usually they back me up, but even them telling him to do something is like pulling teeth.

It really sound like you have a deep understanding of how to reach your brother. That whacking on the head would get old though.

I take back any bad things I might have said about a Kuerig machine... my bosses mother in law bought us one for the office and I think I'm in love. I've also had way ...WAY too much black coffee today as no one thought to buy/bring sugar or creamer. Everyone here is wired :D

Both of my kids had them in college, I mailed my sons to him in Florida. I gave one to my Dad he sent it back to me saying it was to confusing. We gave it then to my MIL. MIL would never use if she had any idea what Kuerig pods cost.
