My DH is glued to the TV in the kitchen. He is pulling out the old dishwasher. Not likely the new one is going in this evening like he planned, it is football ya know. He was happy with their 1st pick tonight.

One of my friends Dad was a scout for the Chicago Cubs. I loved his stories. He picked some pretty good players over the years, many went on to have fabulous careers. Sadly, not often with the Cubs, as my Cubs tend to trade their great players for future players to be named later.....always planning for next year.

We have catchy songs every year though. :rolleyes:

My toilet is hissing and I know what the issue is and how to fix it but the water shut off valve is corroded and I am not able to turn it without risk of breaking it. Is this a "call the landlord" issue or should I try turning it anyhow?

This low hiss noise is making me crazy!

I have an old friend that lives near St. Johns. She pays someone to repeatedly shovel her roof during the winter. Oy

Dang! I'd be intimidated driving past that dock as that ship was pulling into port and I worked for a long time at the docks.

Ever write a sentence that ya know is going to raise an eyebrow or two?

If you could be responsible for breaking it, I wouldn't turn it myself. If you know you won't have to pay for any damages, I'd go ahead and do it. IMO the risk is greater than the reward, especially if it could be costly.

theres actually room for 4 ships, 1 large, 2 medium and 1 small.

largest I've seen was the Star Princess (before they modified the dock to its current version)

but honestly.. we're used to it.. the port as always been there.
they are always slowly moved with tug boats..

Actually, I'm not positive it's not that. Could very well be.

Or, the little lid valve thing isn't tight on the water pumpy thing because it has never been cleaned or maintained properly and doing so would solve the issue entirely but yeah we can go with tentacle octopus hissy thing from hell. It's probably that.

Liquor stores stay open 'til only 9p. Closed on Sunday. I can't even remember the last time I went into a liquor store, though. As far as beer and wine go, you can purchase it at grocery/convenience stores 'til midnight 6 days a week, 1a on Saturdays. Can't purchase it again 'til 7a. :)
