Not Freudian, at all.

It's because, wait for it ... we are all the same person.
We ALL love waterfalls.

I know we've posted about this before, but, they are pretty indeed, aren't they?! :)

I never had and never probably will have a strong desire to be CM. I like visiting the place and would not like my picture of the place shattered by experiencing the behind the scenes BS that goes on.

That's probably true of most places. Years ago I worked in an administration office for a hotel company, and there were so many issues, etc. that go on behind the scenes. It was much more fun to stay as a guest at one of our hotels, than to work for one!

I worked for a restaurant I liked once in high school. Once you see how things are made and maintained behind the scenes, you lose your appetite for eating there. I'd rather that not happen for Disney.

While attempting to catch up on the Sagateer thread (haven't logged on since early yesterday morning), I had to go back pages of posts. I caught up to this one, and gasped (not that I didn't know the lobby was being slaughtered), but because of the announced concept art. I immediately left the Sagateer thread to fly over to News & Rumors to see what you were talking about. :arghh::(:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::eek::eek::eek::eek: !!!

Just now finished 11 pages of posts in that Poly thread (that took about 35 minutes!), and I was just devastated by what they're doing to one of the most gorgeous, uniquely-themed lobbies at WDW, period. It was sickening, and my first reaction to the art was that it looked like a mall, and others had also commented with that same reaction. Words can't really describe how disturbed I am by these changes, and no, I don't think that Disney will stop this major blunder, regardless of how many people tell them how much they hate it. They don't listen anymore and they don't give a damn.

Yea, if I go there my posts are just gonna' be deleted and I'll be banned, so I just decided not to venture there.

In other news, I'm ed as hell.

The CANADIAN CIC ( Website for Visa application) Is confusing as hell.
I just found out today that I was accepted for my VISA application but you have to click in a very specific section, to get a PDF document.. that you have to print and send along your passport to your local embassy.

What is the issue? they only give you 30 days to ship.. Except I had no idea for 25 days.. The 30 days expires this Wednesday and I dont think I will make it (as they want you to deliver these papers to Mexico city)
What ed me off is.. the message area of the VISA site only said "NEW.. need original passport".. nothing else!.

you had to click in an arrow on one of the corners to make the website execute a dropdown animation that made visible a link.. to the PDF document.. where it gave you the instructions on what to do next.
the other information boxes were they supposedly tell you if they need new papers or if you were accepted.. were still empty and I'm like facepalming.

Might be requiring to pay again 250 or so CAD USD to reapply.

not fun... considering how short my finances are atm(since I just paid all the hotels and final payment of the cruise lol ). :/

Edit.. I will ask my mother if she can call the Embassy on monday to make a tiny extension. (sending the papers on Monday on EXPRESS and hope for god to let it be delivered on time.. because even if you pay 1 day shipping, they will almost always arrive 2 days later with most companies here)

I gave this a "like" because it was a very interesting story you shared, although it was a very sad one. As odd as this may sound, I think the man who was asked to leave was probably better off. By that, I mean that if he worked for people that didn't even give him a chance to explain, then he deserves the opportunity to move on to another employer, who provides fair and decent working conditions.
The problem is, it was a CAS.. aca College program, and they are for collegue points I bet.
Not exactly "for the job".

Agree there.
I've worked on some of my favorite restaurants, and once you see how bad they can manage/touch/move the food.. it gives me shivers.. Thanks god when I worked there, I put hygiene on top.

Several years ago when my son was in the college program his roommate was assigned to an ice cream cart in FW of Epcot. He was being trained by an Elderly man that was a bit gruff an didn't like CPs. The older CM offered him and ice cream bar when he was going on break. Then proceded to turn him in for stealing. He got hauled into the supervisors office and they would not let him explain. Yes or no just like being on a witness stand. Did you take an ice cream bar and eat it without paying. Yes, but..... No Did you or didn't you, no buts. Yes.

He was sent home. He had to be out of his apartment by 12 noon the next day and off Disney Property.

That's terrible! :(

Does your area have overnight shipping?

overnight shipping itself does not exist in Mexico.. except in the major cities.

We have a "before 8:30am" and 12:00 am next day shipping(but its available on very limited places.. and only if you deliver the packages to the shipping office before 10:00 am).. Might use it but will cost dearly.

right now I'm wondering if DHL gives GUARANTEED one day shipping.
the cut down date is Wednesday (means they need to receive it one day earlier)

At one point, my dream was to be an Imagineer. Although, I pretty much am one, just not for Disney. ;) :)
Anyway, let me make one thing clear. Although it may seem otherwise, working for Disney has not spoiled the Magic for me at all. When we go on a Disney trip, we still surround ourselves with the Magic, roll with it, and have a great time! I believe in what Walt started and stood for, plain and simple, and THAT is what is always in my heart. :)
And, actually, havin' worked for the Company, and me knowing as much as I know, helps to make me able to show my family a better time in a lot of ways.
For me anyway, seein' how the sausage is made hasn't made it any less palatable. ;)
