Thanks, looks awesome! :)
Wish I'd seen your post before I left, though.
I ended up settling for this, instead. :(

That looks like an interesting choice as well.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
What the hell am I, chopped brisket?!?!?! o_O
I tried to hold my end of it up for a good portion of the day...

;) :)
It can't be just you and me. People will talk.
I'm old enough to be @PUSH's mother, so there's no issue there.

You and I however, are too close in age, both wear flip flops, and both enjoy "coffee".

Hot dog! We are the same person!

And with that foolishness, I am out. Good night everyone.

No
When I first used a phone, you just picked it up and in a few seconds an operator would come on and ask what number you wanted or if the town was small enough they'd ask who you wanted to speak with. No area codes, no long numbers and about a million people listening to your phone calls. It was more then a party line it was a huge group line. Once in a while you would hear someone say... "Mr. Watson--come here--I want to see you!"
I actually knew that. From watching Get Smart. :joyfull: And books.

It was the college program

I wasn't aware it was the college program until you and Cesar made reference to that. (Thanks to you both for pointing that out; somehow I didn't catch that detail when I was reading the story.) Still, college program or not, I felt sad for that man. Everyone deserves a fair shake in life, and I wish him happiness in his future.

I'll take a pair of Mickey ears. :)

Oddly enough, I'd trade in my Minnie ears, but just for one day only.

I was watching a few minutes of the Kentucky Derby on tv yesterday, and some of the hats that the women wore were beautiful (while others were just ridiculous . . . ). In today's hectic world, we certainly don't have time to dress up like that, and it's just not practical in many situations. However, I could get into it for a day--wearing a hat with flowers and ribbons, and a pretty dress.

A woman I worked with years ago was from Kentucky. She had a Kentucky Derby party for about 30 people; it was fun. They made mint juleps and those were tasty! (They were also a lot stronger than I realized!) :jawdrop:

Sorry to have dropped off the thraed for the past week or so. Concert week, so I was at school each day from 7am-10pm. Not much time to enjoy the stellar wit and conversation. Not much more time this week, so I wanted to drop in this morning and say hello and...

May the 4th Be With You! (planning to watch Return of the Jedi this afternoon to celebrate)
