I still can't move.

I usually get burned and I don't mind so much really. I don't like sunblocks or lotions much and sometimes I'd rather get a little pink than not feel the sunshine. I love the feeling of sunshine on my skin. :)

I LOVE me the feelin' of some sunshine, too! :) My Doc actually tells me I should try to be out in it even more 'cause I have a vitamin D deficiency. Knowin' darn well my white self can't be out in it too long (without sunscreen), she has also put me on a supplement. I love the sunshine, but, it doesn't love my particular melanin situation, too much...! ;) :)

No, not that one. But I have seen a couple, although they weren't Hummers, of monster-type truck limos around here before. :)
It was near the area where I work, which actually isn't even in the Austin city limits. It is it's own incorporated city called Westlake Hills, which is essentially in southwest Austin. Very affluent...doctors, lawyers, politicians, etc.
Have been noticing, along with the usual plethora of Merc's, Beemer's, Ferrari's, etc., a lot of Tesla's and Convertible Bentley's out as of late. Warmer weather, here they come. :)
Around my office I have noticed a surge in the Tesla population. My neighborhood you don't really see anything more expensive than a 5 Series. My girlfriend's neighborhood get a lot of Ferraris and Bentleys in the summer. Had the car in my avatar pull up next to me at a red light. The engine noise when he took off felt like it could shatter my windows.

New Guinness World Record Set For Most People Dressed as Ninja Turtles!

Yesterday, in celebration of the grand opening of the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shell Shock ride at Nickelodeon Universe at the Mall of America in Bloomington, MN, 836 TMNT fans successful set the Guinness World Record for the most people dressed as Ninja Turtles in one place!

I will have a full report of the event, along with a bunch of pictures and some video, coming up later this week (after I get my shell back to California). But, I will say in short that the event was a blast, and the ride is reallyreally fun! It was tough to get the cars to do a complete 360, but very rewarding when you succeeded - It really was kinda like ninja training!

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Ahhhh - the joys of carpooling. Still at work an hour and half past closing time.

Apparently, Hubby is still going to be a while.

I think I will lay my head down on the desk and "rest my eyes".

I know I don't snore. I guess we'll find out if I drool.

OK - just to address the issue of grief among Sageteers: We've all been there (or will be) and it's not easy. I wish I could hug you all in person and make it go away, but it doesn't work that way. The holes in our hearts that are left when we lose a loved one never heal completely, but it does get better - trust me. I shared this with another friend who lost his mother recently, and it's worth repeating. This comes from a speech the Joe Biden made at the funeral of Sean Collier, the officer killed during the awful events in Boston last year:

"You'll know it's going to be OK when the first instinct is you get a smile to your lips before you get a tear to your eyes."

I wish you all that smile.
