Okay, I'll bite ....
However did searching for a skirt lead to you cleaning a ceiling fan?
I'm eager to hear this process.
...Well. Again, I can be a bit of a spazz. So I first checked one of my two (ahem, no judgement) skirt drawers and didn't find it there. So then I decided it was probably in my closet. I went through all of the hanging clothes (mind you, I hang them by color. However my favorite skirt ranges from purple to blue and green and yellow, so that's an issue) and it wasn't there. Then I decided that maybe it fell off a hanger and is on the closet floor. Unfortunately, everything and it's mother was also stuffed here. A bag of cotton for a pillow I've been threatening to make for a month now, all of my shoes ranging from ballet flats to winter snowboots- three pairs of those- and then clothes that fell off hangers and a few pieces that I hate but wanted to save to reuse the pretty fabric they're made of.
I then found the skirt buried at the back- of course, the very back- and had to put everything else back because at that point, it was all over the floor. So I organized my shoes and lined them all up, found a new home for the bag of cotton, moved the winter shoes aside. Then I figured since I have the winter shoes aside, I might as well go through the hanging clothes and pull the winter ones. So I did.
It was at this time that I glanced up and noted that my fan needs a good dusting. So I did. And then I looked down and realized the floor could use a good vaccuming. So I did.
And that's how the hunt for one skirt turned into a spotless room. By the time I finished up the floors I cleaned off my dresser and bed side table with a quick Swiffer dusting and a spritz of lavender room freshener because why not.
