Those are the beaches I go to most often (especially near Sandestin FL) and I've never lived anywhere near them. The Atlantic beaches even in FL just aren't the same as the Gulf Coast.

One of the partners at the office has a vacation home there that he rents out most of the year. Never been myself, but, I've seen pictures and it sure looks nice.

The Texas coast is about 3.5 hours from us. We usually go about once a summer for a long weekend. Port Aransas, Rockport, Corpus Christi area.

I don't know. Just that all 4 times it has happened to me, it was some version of the 3 Series with New York plates. It's been every year around either Memorial Day weekend or when there are 4th of July fireworks.

Thundering here. My dog absolutely hates thunder. She gets so scared she shakes like a motorboat. If someone doesn't hold her, she'll try to go under a bed or hide somewhere else. She's just out of sorts and doesn't know what to do when it's thundering. Cause, you know, thunder has hurt her so many times before.

So, you have to hug your dog?

It is a good movie, but you will be eyerolling a few times due of how the woman reacts.

Sandestin is a nice area...usually not too overrun with the "springbreakers" type crowds. right in between PCB and Ft Walton. The picture I posted was actually taken at Pensacola Beach right down the road.

speaking of sprinbreakers.. Semana Santa and Semana de Pascua just started in my town.. and that is the cue for everyone who is local to stay in their homes.
As this week the car wrecks incidents skyrocket by 3000% due of dumb motorists of big cities trying to "arrive fast" to their hotels.. drunken morons and of course.. kids who shouldn't be driving yet .
