How did your oatmeal baked good turn out the other day?

Really good! But next time (ie, this weekend) I'm going to make it differently. I didn't care for the bananas laid flat at the bottom of the pan (they cooked and had a weird texture that I can't get past, I pick it out every morning and Daisy gets it for breakfast!) and I think I used too much salt... a teaspoon seems a bit extreme. A little pinch would probably work a lot better.

But the oatmeal itself turned out really well. I was skeptical of the egg (sounds gross, right?) but it did help to hold it together and bake a bit more evenly. The almond milk is also a better idea than regular milk.

Overall, it turned out well. But now that I know it will work, and actually taste good, I'm going to tweak the recipe to my liking. :)

I would snap a pic but let's be honest, oatmeal is ugly and this pan of it kinda looks like cooked dog barf.

Now I just need to figure out how to make a 'healthy' quick and easy Tonga Toast. :hungry:

Edit- here's the recipe I used for the oatmeal bake. I used strawberries, but wouldn't recommend it unless you blend them in your handy dandy Sageteer Blender first. Blueberries would probably work best.

"The doctor asked her about the fire … and she stated she was attempting to start a fire in the house to get back at (her ex-boyfriend)," the charges state.

Hmpf. I wouldn't want to be the director of Noah at the Pearly Gates trying to explain why the original Noah and the Arc story wasn't good enough and needed to be punched up. *faint*

What are those giant rock creatures helping Noah build the Arc? Thinking the director missed the boat with this film. ba dum tsssss

"From the director of Black Swan, The Fountain, and Requiem for a Dream" is kind of a clue that it is going to be weird. Plus the guy admitted that he is not religious and is treating the story as mythology so he probably isn't worried about what happens when he dies.
