We have steaks every Friday night at my house! And yes, I can grill My best friend came over twice when I was in WDW and we had steaks both times (indoor grill).

16 for a learner's permit (G1). Traditionally a year before you can drive on your own with a G2.
Full-fledged licence (G) in about another year.

I didn't have to add the boys to my policy until they had their G2.
Two cars, three drivers ... Son #1 was listed as an occasional driver, costing about $100 extra per month.

We considered giving him Hubby's Freestyle rather than trading it in last summer. Three cars, three drivers ... and he would be the principal driver. Our insurer wanted $700 per month (liability only!!!) on a car worth $1500. We said nuh-uh.

I am in no rush for Son #2 to get his G2, because as you may well know already - he's a pot-head. No bleeding way I'm putting him on my insurance while he's still smoking up.
