Sounds like a great idea and if you happen to find someone that cares enough, they should do it. I just, like you, relayed what I was told and felt was verified. It doesn't have to be right and I don't have to be correct. We are all free to imagine or think whatever makes us happy. Since it no longer exists in either form (TV show or Residential Street) it really doesn't matter anymore.

Still, the indisputable facts are that Golden Girls hit the airwaves about 4 years before D/MGM ever existed.

We agreed many posts back that the original shots were in Cali, that was never disputed. MGM broke ground shortly after the debut of Golden Girls and opened a little more than 3 years later, that park did not open in a 2 year timeframe. Residential Street was one of the first projects and the homes went up quickly as they were not really houses but facades.

As far as your comments about "You could be right, but I doubt that Lou is." I don't know what that means about Lou or his published books or me. I don't care to go there, his books have been well vetted, most attorney's of his caliber are smart enough not to make things up and then publish fiction. I'm too chicken to cast doubt on publishing companies, books or successful attorneys. Kudos to you though.
