That looks delicious. My diet is so restricted for the next few weeks.
Thanks! I figured decide now before I'm busy again with work. I'll probably hunt around Yelp and Foursquare tomorrow too.@acishere we had our nice dinner out at MESA - it's in Caesars. It was outstanding but maybe not special enough since there is (was?) one in Manhattan. My sister was recently in Vegas - I'm going to see what she recommends.
Blah! I don't get messing with programs that are not broken and humming along. I have found as a BOE member that Administration offers up to the Alter Music Programs quicker than any other activity or athletic program. I've sat and for budget preview sessions where administration brings to the table cuts to music and big increases for athletics. Music always has a higher co-pay, funding from parent/boosters than anything we offer. But historically music takes big hits when budgets get sliced and diced so quitting is so risky when giving up tenure.
Worst was when at a PTO meeting I was attending the Principal announced to the dismay of parents that there would not be a Spring Musical, that there was no funding in the budget for it this year by the board. At my instance when we built that budget in the Spring I asked for separate line items for the Musical because the Principal found ways to stick his fingers in the Musical budget and hard to track those expenses. He must have not made the correlation that I was sitting at the PTO round table as I was both a board member but a very active parent. I bit my tongue and said nothing but blindsided the jerk at a BOE the next night. He tried to defend that there were BETTER things to spend that money on like tutoring, field trips, etc. Musical went on as budget for. I was so angry.
Warning: Mini-rant ahead!
I've been sitting here for about an hour trying to start a rough draft for a research paper, but I have no idea where to go. We are supposed to be forming a research question based off of research we did on this region of the world. Well, I researched my family history and have absolutely zero ideas of what to write about. My professor is no help either. Whenever you ask her a question she starts to answer it and then trails off into nowhere. She usually leaves you more confused than you were. I asked her about my topic, and she said it was too broad and I'd have to narrow it down. Then she started going off on some idea, but there's absolutely no sources to research further into it. Between sources, her open-ended instructions, and the confusion of her class, I'm getting to the point that I'm just going to BS (not Bob Saget) the entire thing.
Rant over.
The thing is, you kind of need an idea of your topic before you can BS.BS is good. Got me through quite a few graduate credits. Back in undergrad, I actually did the work and research, not so much while I'm working 50+ hour weeks. The ability to BS successfully is one of the most valuable in the world.
What is the general idea of the paper? The thing is, you kind of need an idea of your topic before you can BS.
We were told to go research our region (southwest Wisconsin), and then from the research we were supposed to form a question, which would lead to a thesis. I researched my family's history, and I got some good information on it, but I have no idea what to form a question about. She said the question should start with "how" or "why".What is the general idea of the paper?
How did the local economy affect the career decisions of the people moving into the area?We were told to go research our region (southwest Wisconsin), and then from the research we were supposed to form a question, which would lead to a thesis. I think I actually just found one that I can work with, given the sources I already have. "Why was southwest Wisconsin appealing to so many immigrants?" I know it's kind of broad, but I'll narrow it down the more I get into it.How did the local economy affect the career decisions of the people moving into the area?
I think I'm getting sick.
Also, I might have bruised my leg pretty good with a bowling ball last night.
good bye Vegas!, you were terrible to our wallets! For the last day of the Vegas theme weekend, I'm switching to the back-end of the "Welcome to Vegas" sign.

Will you print this image and put it into a frame?
Since when people are John Travolting the names on Disney?
I call foul! that drink as been suspiciously moved after the crime!
Push..well done.. your "not 100% paying attention to the fact that I was swinging a 20Kg solid bowling ball" comment made me laugh really loudly XDResponding the the lines I made bold above...
Yes, I hit my leg with a bowling ball. Not one of my proudest moments, but in my defense I was not 100% paying attention to the fact that I was bowling.
And no frame could capture the true artistry of my masterpiece.
