When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Dang. I almost made it.
Pyjama day ends at 11:00 p.m.

Off to the grocery store to get popsicles for my baby (39 year old) brother. He is in agony.

Sister of the year award, anyone?!

That's an everyday act of kindness for Canadians. Down here you're lucky if your sibling does that for you once in a lifetime. Usually we just say "get your own dang popsicle!"

EDIT- I forgot to add this: "Eh?"

Trivia Question of the Day:

Q: If a Sageteer BMs in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

A: Yes. A BM always makes a sounds, especially when coming from a Sageteer.

You don't have to devote yourself to full-time Sageteering.

Please continue to drop in occasionally. We enjoyed your witty, off-the-wall posts.
I may be back from time to time, but things are starting to pick up with work... This weekend is already slammed busy, and with the warmer weather finally moving in, and busy season starting, I won't have the time I used to... Lots to do this spring and summer... lots and lots to do!!!

Evidently Meg has been busy in Baltimore County, MD where I would like to blame her for some terrible decision making by the public school system, resulting in this 20 year veteran (who has built one school's music program from 1 instrumental teacher with 100 kids and no piano program to 2 instrumental teachers with over 200 kids and 90 kids in the piano program) to consider looking elsewhere.

Up until this point, I have avoided blaming Meg for things beyond her usual scope, but this kind of inept management seems right up her alley.

What did they do to make him contemplate leaving? Giving up tenure in a district is risky business these days.

Need a laugh (or perhaps a shudder), check out "Unmagical Day in the Magical Kingdom" in the WDW Parks General Discussion section (3rd one down).

Absolutely head-shakingly delicious.

You can thank me later.

Oh my goodness. We all have had people like this that we have had to encounter. My DH SIL for example, we could transplant that one right into the lead of this story. Scream until I get my way. I'll report you if I can't break the rules. I want my money back after being there the entire time.

The next time I hear of someone really ragging about CMs in Disney I'll have to remember this lady who hated them all. Too funny. Thanks.

Did you read it? Apparently she has posted this on multiple boards.

Here's the thing, as a TA who clearly knows these boards exist, she is mind-numbingly disengaged from reality.

For the time it took her to write all that and join forums to post it, she could have read through some of those boards and been prepared to go to WDW with 4 kids. Some of her disappointments were valid but boy talk about blowing them out of proportion. Funny feeling she'll be back to WDW stirring the pot again.

I bought him a box of 24 mixed flavour popsicles, and 24 fudgesicles.

When I popped in to see him, he really did look like crap. Apparently he'd already been up 24+ hours (and unable to eat) because of the tooth, and his face is all puffed up, so he's looking pretty beat and battered.

Hopefully, the Tylenol 3's, the antibiotics and the ice packs do the trick. Eh?!

Pittsburgh's bald eagles have a nest with three eggs.

Live cam. Warning: productivity at your work will decrease dramatically if you click on this link! :)

For some reason we now have a lot of bald eagles in Northern IL. I want to see the ones atop the Swan and Dolphin next time I visit, hopefully.

Boy that website took forever to build, she was trying to sleep, but kept peeking with one eye here and there, watching me.

When I was a kid, I used to play the "TRUE LOVE" game with my name and Robert Urich. 114%, Baby!

And then, coincidentally, I named my oldest son Spenser, after his character in Robert B. Parker's series of books. I thought I had picked such an original name, until he started JK. Turns out Spenser/Spencer was the only duplicate name in his class until high school. Go figure.

He was even more handsome in person. When Spenser for Hire was on tv (late 80s), my boss (who had some sort of connection to the Massachusetts Film Board/Office) gave me an event pass to go see him. They had a big media reception at the top of the Prudential Tower in our city, for Mr. Urich. I didn't get to meet him; but I managed to slip my way through the throngs of reporters, and he was under a spotlight, answering questions from the press. I was about 10 feet away from him! (swoon . . .) :)
