When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
I haven't watched it yet, but it seems that Fallon is really rocking the Tonight Show.
Every day, FB has some kind of link to Fallon in the "Trending" section.

Anyways, I just clinked the link and watched Jimmy, Idina, and a bunch of dudes with schoolroom instruments play "Let it Go". For sure the most energetic, joyful rendition I've heard to date. Check it out - good fun.

The public is the only critic whose opinion is worth anything at all.

The public seems to have done an about face when speaking about Russia and Putin, all in less than a month when the opening ceremonies of the Olympics began.

Re-Rob Ford on Kimmel:

Despite having seen every one of those clips a dozen times, and in spite of Ford playing it straight and basically electioneering, I laughed.

Kudos to Kimmel for gently suggesting that if Ford needs help that he really should get it.

For those who don't know, he really was a very good mayor before the substance abuse. He really loves his city. He really is as accessible as he says.
And sadly, he really does need to give it up.

He is the mayor in name only, having been stripped of all his powers. He's not the mayor of the fourth largest North American city, so much as the punchline to a very tragic joke.

God Bless Mayor Ford, but ... off you go.

Edit to add a recap for those who missed it.

This was recapped on our news. He acts like many functional alcoholics. Most of the time able to preform his duties well but everyone is just waiting for another shoe to drop, knowing it will.

Blackened Shrimp served over Linguini with homemade Alfredo sauce. Grilled corn on the cob seasoned with garlic, sweet onions, kosher salt, fresh ground black pepper, and fresh nutmeg. Broiled lamb chops with a lemon butter caper sauce.

I'm with you on the blacken Shrimp and linguine. I'm great with roasted corn being from the Midwest, I try not to hide to much of its flavor as good corn can stand on its own. I use a light garlic salt and a bit of butter and that is it. Slurp.
Sometimes corn picked that day is my meal. I can eat 3 or 4 ears of Mirai sweet corn as an entire meal.

Lamb anything, I don't even like the smell of let alone putting it my mouth. Just can't do it. Now Buffalo I love.

Sadly, we are all expecting the other shoe to still drop.
Things have been relatively calm and quiet for a few weeks. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

More lamb for me. Goody!

Yeah if you are in any campus organizations or greek life it is hard to function without Facebook. Pretty much everything is coordinated through there.

I changed my name on Facebook and do not friend anyone from work. They have a don't ask, don't tell policy with us using it. So I don't tell them.

I'm embarrassed to admit that I don't care for seafood (at all) and not entirely fond of lamb but @englanddg could photograph sautéed dog food and I'd want to try it.

Bingo. Same here. I used my mothers maiden name on Facebook since only my immediate family would know it. And even still I block what of mine they can see, because there's nothing worse than being asked about my politics or religious views at a family function. I don't like being put on the spot. Nor do I want to discuss either subject with family.

My closest friends know my last name. My boss, coworkers, and "Facebook only friends" don't know my moms maiden name, nor the email I use associated with fb, and it works out well.

OK - in the wake of the Let it Go discussion, I had to post this. Someone probably already posted it on the Dark Side of the forum but I am not peeking out to look. I really do enjoy Jimmy Fallon.

Seen the video.. It was still annoying how people blasted Idina for "she sucks without autotune"
I mean... seriously?

IMHO, I still think Colbert as way more fans and attraction.. I really love him way more.
He is spot on on many of his political jabs!

The only friend requests from family I accepted have either similar views or don't care. They were just as clueless as me trying to remember Catholic customs at my uncle's funeral so they cant judge me.

I love Facebook.

I have less than 100 friends; all family, real friends, and a couple of friends from high school who have moved away.

Politics are not nearly as divisive up here. More parties, more centrist views.

My religious views are well known to friends and family, so while I don't shove my beliefs down anyone's throat, I certainly don't try to hide my Christianity.

My boss (you've heard quite a bit about her lately) is a FB friend. Before she became the boss 19 years ago, she was a co-worker, and partner on numerous sites. She was also a bridesmaid in my wedding party 21 years ago. Other than her and my husband, however, I am friends with nobody else from work.

I use FB however I wish, and make no apologies. Want to unfriend me? Have at it.

I'm on FB mostly just to stay in touch with extended family. I never post anything remotely political or religious. Some of them do, but I try to ignore it. I unfriended an old high school classmate who was too extreme about it, and unsubscribed a few relatives.

I try not to, but sometimes it works my last nerve and I tend to open my loud mouth. But it's my Facebook account, if anyone doesn't like it, they can bring it up or unfriend me. :)

After my dad died, I decided life was too short to waste hours sorting through the sludge on my FB page.

When I deactivated my Dad's yahoo email account and closed his Corporate website, I "spring-cleaned" my friends list. I put 20 people on hide (oh my gosh, vegans can be more sanctimonious than any right-wing religious zealot) and unfriended another 20 or so. Honestly, I felt better immediately.

I think my vegan niece also eventually put me on hide after a week of me posting non-stop bacon gifs and memes.

I have a handful of vegan friends that I've done the same with. God help me, I love them dearly but if I hear one more thing about the chicken I'm eating I might drown them in my BBQ sauce.
