When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
I had to pull my clothes out of the hamper, get dressed and run out at ten minutes before midnight to get Son #2 some cough medicine and vapo-rub from the pharmacy.
Oh my gosh, it was take your breath away cold out there.

So anyway, now I'm wide awake, and watching Kimmel live. (Guillermo at the Oscars was hilarious.)

I just told DS to stay home from school tomorrow. On the plus side, now I don't have to get up at 7:30 and fight with him for an hour or more to get out the door and onto the bus! On the down side, I'll get to spend my day off listening to him hack up a lung all day.

A mother's work is never done, I tell ya.

I'd rather they stop trying to tie everything into movies. I miss how rides used to inspire movies, not the other way around. Certainly there are some movies worth making a ride of, but they've gone completely away from truly original attractions. Everything needs an IP nowadays.

And yes, WS should focus on just the countries, not movies. I think Epcot itself should have minimal movie tie-ins.
The point of WS is to capture the spirit of each nation and give you a taste of their culture. I love Maelstrom because it is based around the country's history and folklore. Every country has amazing legends and lore to base adventure rides off of. IP's aren't even necessary.

Re-Rob Ford on Kimmel:

Despite having seen every one of those clips a dozen times, and in spite of Ford playing it straight and basically electioneering, I laughed.

Kudos to Kimmel for gently suggesting that if Ford needs help that he really should get it.

For those who don't know, he really was a very good mayor before the substance abuse. He really loves his city. He really is as accessible as he says.
And sadly, he really does need to give it up.

He is the mayor in name only, having been stripped of all his powers. He's not the mayor of the fourth largest North American city, so much as the punchline to a very tragic joke.

God Bless Mayor Ford, but ... off you go.

Edit to add a recap for those who missed it.

Blackened Shrimp served over Linguini with homemade Alfredo sauce. Grilled corn on the cob seasoned with garlic, sweet onions, kosher salt, fresh ground black pepper, and fresh nutmeg. Broiled lamb chops with a lemon butter caper sauce.
Well, well, maybe I WILL stay up.

I'm making roast beef again tomorrow, so I am feeling slightly less inferior than usual.

Pics of the finished product please. I need some high class food to get me through the last 4 weeks of my diet.

I'm there with ya. I had a girl and a boy. I never had that stereo typical stuff with the girl, ever. The boy well he pushed the envelope. He never got into any trouble, yay. But boy he wasn't easy like the girl.

My issues with the boy getting up in the morning ended one year when the boy was given a car for his 16th birthday from his Grandfather. (My Dad had 2 DD, 2 Grand Daughters and only one ManChild) The MC was able to drive that auto to school his junior and senior year. His Junior Year he got a speeding ticket because he got up late for school his Junior year. He needed to not to get another ticket for 4 months to get the ticket expunged from his record. He told me it would never happen again, "cause he new where the police hide now!!!! Angry Mom.

I took the car away from him for 4 months guaranteeing he would not get another ticket in that span. He took the bus to school once again, oh well son. I drove to school daily picked him up took him to his job and picked him up. Embarrassing. Worse the 'girl' of time no longer had a boyfriend with a car. When the 4 months were up, the new rule was he was up by "X" time or he had to take the bus. If he got another ticket, no car to school for the balance of the year. He got up, on time.

No, I just sniff it and walk away.

Your dog "behavior" hasn't quite grasped the concept that food is also a toy. One day, my dog took a dive at a piece of lettuce that fell on the kitchen floor. He then bolted into the hallway with it, dropped it on the rug, stared at it, put it back in his mouth, and ran up the stairs! A while later, I went up there to see if he had actually eaten it, and all I saw were little pieces of lettuce strewn all over. He never ate it; he had, however, conquered the evil lettuce monster! ;)

My town is being lazy with salting again. My street is pretty icey. I did a pretty good slide when I backed out of my driveway too fast and braked.

My city tried something new. It's a salt sand and toxic chemical mix. But it didn't work. So instead of the mix melting the ice and snow, it melted some of it, then slicked it even worse with the sand. Huge scandal. Schools were cancelled because the roads were unbelievably slick...and not from the snow and ice but from the salt/sand/toxic chemical mix.

Today's youth is lucky to grow up with great films such as Sharknado.

Did you know it's on Netflix?

Apparently I decided that there's not enough excitement in my life, and twisted my upper back this morning. I can't bend over at all. I've tried stretching and laying flat, and have given up on bothering, nothing is helping. So I took some pain pills like an old person and lathered on Jr Watkins Warming Balm.

So now my back is twisted and hurts, but feels like someone dumped hot sauce on it and set it on fire. YAY.

Ok @MOXOMUMD I appreciate the "likes" but why on earth are you reading "the letter game" thraed and liking posts from 2010?! :p
My daughter is doing a project for her afterschool academics program. They have to take a website and create two graphic charts showing data they collected. Then they have to present what they have learned and show if the results are factual, opinion based or a combination of both. She is using the ABC and letter threads to make charts based on which answers are used the most with subcategories of princesses, parks and rides. Her best friends are using mlb.com and billboard.com.

As I've said before, my daughter uses my screen name to read some thraeds (Jr. Sageteer) but I've also been made fun of for reading old threads. ("Whatever.":mad::D)

I am an idiot for having all my news alerts sent to my old yahoo account. I swear every other day I am unable to access them now... So instead I'm on here.

Wow even their troubleshooting page is broken...
