@donaldtoo architectural firm? Awesome!
I learned yesterday that "polar vortex" isn't actually a thing. It's just a term that was randomly made up. No real meaning to it.I know this polar vortex, never-ending winter is horrible, but I found a silver lining: It is killing off those stinkbugs that have been invading the area the last few years!

I respect your opinion, but I don't 100% agree. I'll just leave it at that since this is not the place to debate this kind of stuff.And there is the problem. Mediocrity. It starts young, the excuses are endless and it is rhetoric. My DD worked since she was 15, worked through college, graduated in 3 1/2 years from a Big 10 University that is highly rated with a double major in Math and Statistics despite what French students do or do not have to work.
Blame the students, blame the families. This line of logic doesn't fly in better school districts or private college prep schools, staff would be out on their butts in a heartbeat.
Our districts in the US are all over the board on curriculum and you can see that by which students are admitted into Top Universities. That is why I love National Standards and no child left behind. I welcome Global Testing, if we want our children to compete for admission to the best Universities that the International Students are these days, we need to adjust our curriculum to educate these students to level the Chinese and Indian Students that are entering our Top Universities at. Look at any fine hospital. You will see International Students that completed their undergrad degrees here and then scored high on their MCats. They came to US Universities prepared better than a good chunk of our students have when they start on their undergrad degrees. They have completed far more math and science courses on a whole than our students have before entering Top Universities. They set the bar for curves.
We cannot deny we live in a global world and not preparing our students to succeed in a global environment is wrong. International Students now make up a good chunk of students at our Top US Universities. We have not on a whole altered our curriculum to keep up with the Top International Asian Students entering our Universities. Times are not changing, they have already changed. Our educational system is just in denial and they fear testing. I don't fear global testing, we should know where our educational system ranks in comparison to those over the ponds, just like I believe we need to know how our students rank Nationally. If we are doing it right the test scores will confirm that, if not fix it. By the time these kids take an ACT or a SAT, it is too late.
Just blame Meg for what is contained in that spoiler box.Um, IDK, right now I'm hungry, so I'm thinking...to my car to grab food?

the new movie is produced by nick? as far I know the new movie is 100% a thing from Michael Bay.Yeah, TMNT's being produced by Nickelodeon Studios and if I'm reading the plot correctly, it's going to stink as bad as The Last Airbender movie. (TMNT are not space aliens!) Take a great cartoon series and when written into movie form it's terrible!
but did Tom Hanks pull a Hank on tom?I'm sorry.
But tom hanks is tom hanks who is tom hanks who plays tom hanks
A Walt disney you are not.
I really want to love this movie.
They are both warm, affable characters so I guess they figured that was close enough. He did do an amazing job in Captain Phillips though. Deserved a nomination for it.
Is your cat related to Harry Potter?*allows cat to run behind China cabinet, which has a crawl space of 4 inches and where she has been caught sleeping recently*

I honestly have lost track of what anyone is talking about here anymore. I'm assuming (I know a dangerous thing to do) that this reference was about Tom Hanks playing Walt Disney. Weird thing actually, I had a problem with it before I saw the movie, and I can't really describe how it turned out except to say. I never felt that he was W.D., but he spun the roll so that it was believable to the degree that it needed to be. As I said, see it and perhaps you will understand what I am trying so desperately to convay here. It certainly wasn't Oscar worthy, but, it is one hard job to be an exact physical and mental image of one Walter E. Disney. He did as good as anyone could have, I think.I'm sorry.
