It's in the 50s today! Feels like spring...except it's supposed to snow later this week and drop back into the 20s. I hate winter

On Tuesday night I was heading out to a town meeting around 6:45 PM, dark about an hour. Out of town square a squirrel ran and I mean ran down the iced up sidewalk out of the park and crossed the street and used the crosswalk into a residential section, continuing to use the sidewalk.

I have never, ever seen a skunk in the middle of 5 foot snow banks. Never saw a skunk in the winter and we have had a lot of them the last few years. Ask the dogs in the neighborhood including mine.

Temperature this morning was already up to 35 (around 6 a.m.). I opened the back door to put something in the barrel, and I didn't see a skunk, but I smelled one!!!!!!! Haven't seen a skunk in months; maybe he (or she) came out of its "home" to bask in the warmer temperatures today?!

After staring at this, I just couldn't help get a thought out of my mind. If they go through with this DVC expansion, then where is the "wilderness" in Fort Wilderness anymore? I just don't get it.

in the same place where the "real" steam trains and real "animal kingdom"(after avatar) will be.
