We need commuter-only lots at my school. We have to share with faculty and visitors, which often limits us, and then we are forced to park at the lot which is all the way down the hill and far away from everything, meanwhile there are faculty-only and visitor-only spots that are not being used, and instead they are in the spots that commuters need :banghead:. I'm sorry, but we're paying a lot of money for me to go there. Visitors aren't, and the faculty has an entire lot to themselves.
My school had massive commuter lots that people had to fight over. You either pay lots of $ for a lot in the city that filled up within hours of the passes going up for sale. Or the other 2 lots that shut down/half shut down for football and basketball games.

You can only park in the lot you have a pass for. No exceptions. There are both regular and handicap buses so they don't take excuses.

More annoying was the city campus only had resident parking for the apartment building. When I had a dorm there I had to park my car across the river in a business school lot and take the bus to my building. Not fun if I needed to take a lot of stuff home or to school because they were relentless ticketers if you parked in a lot you didn't have a pass for.

The Bieb posted on instagram, comparing leaving court house exits. He needs to flip to the end of the story, MJ was dead 5 years after that pose.

Needs to pick a different idol.

So the news was just talking about a PigFest up in Lakeland and that if you're going tonight to bundle up because it's going to be cold. Then he went on to say how it was going down to 45. Brrrr!

January 24th is the most depressing day of the year. This axis of evil makes January 24th score lowest on the national mood barometer. It is dark, body craves sunlight. The harshness of Christmas bills coming in around now and piling up. The percentage of people that are still sticking to their New Years resolutions are in a small minority. People start a snapping at this time of the year.

I was just snapping this afternoon. Had West Side Story on in the car. "Got a rocket, in your pocket. Get cool, boy."

EDITED to apologize for not changing my Avatar. too lazy to search for free ice cream images.

Well, BLIZZARD 2014!!! turned out to be kinda' a mini-event for us, anyway.
After using my Mickey gift card to scrape my windshield before I left the office last night I did drive through a wintery mix almost all the way home. It kinda' died out as I got closer to the casa, though.
More came later in the night. I woke up at 6a and walked outside to check it out. Didn't seem too bad 'til I looked closer. Unfortunately, by that time I had just stepped onto the driveway and proceeded to go skating. Luckily, I kept my balance and the grill of DD's truck didn't hafta' break my fall. :cyclops: Took ten minutes and an old hard plastic spatula "ice scraper" :D (Mickey card wasn't gonna' cut it this mornin') to deice my car.
Needless to say, all schools in the area were closed, and everyone was advised not to drive anywhere unless absolutely necessary until about mid-morning. Cool by me. Today was half-day Friday anyway, so I waited to go to the office 'til after my 10:15a Dr. appt., worked 'til just before 4p, and then headed back to the casa. Was actually still a lot of the white stuff left around as I headed home.
That should do it for us blizzard-wise for the next few years. ;)

They actually had a snow/sleet mix in Pensacola today, according to the local weatherman here.

Hope it wasn't as chaotic as it was here.
Over 140 accidents attributed to adverse weather conditions between 4a and 8a in Austin alone. Never heard about how many in outlying areas.

Thanks!

Haven't heard but we have friends who are wintering over there, so we'll have to call them tonight I guess.

No problem. An anni is an anni...! ;) :)

In north Texas and further up it woulda' been a non-event. Here, though, it tends to be somewhat of a tizzy-trigger.
