My school had massive commuter lots that people had to fight over. You either pay lots of $ for a lot in the city that filled up within hours of the passes going up for sale. Or the other 2 lots that shut down/half shut down for football and basketball games. We need commuter-only lots at my school. We have to share with faculty and visitors, which often limits us, and then we are forced to park at the lot which is all the way down the hill and far away from everything, meanwhile there are faculty-only and visitor-only spots that are not being used, and instead they are in the spots that commuters need. I'm sorry, but we're paying a lot of money for me to go there. Visitors aren't, and the faculty has an entire lot to themselves.
You can only park in the lot you have a pass for. No exceptions. There are both regular and handicap buses so they don't take excuses.
More annoying was the city campus only had resident parking for the apartment building. When I had a dorm there I had to park my car across the river in a business school lot and take the bus to my building. Not fun if I needed to take a lot of stuff home or to school because they were relentless ticketers if you parked in a lot you didn't have a pass for.
