Oh to be sitting in my gazebo with one of these. Better yet, sitting on some random wall in the World Showcase.

I just licked my screen before realizing it.

Thanks for that.

YAY Friday. :\

I'm late to the party (what else is new?) but @PUSH 's new avatar has inspired me to paint my very ugly refuse receptacle this weekend... while we're getting nailed with 4-8 inches of snow.

So today, I heard someone talking about the Engineering Hall, and someone asked if she had to walk a long way to class (since it's the farthest building from pretty much anything). She said she commutes, so she just parks there. I just looked up the parking lot map for campus, and it turns out there's a hidden parking lot right next to the building for commuters. So the other day I walked all the way across campus in -10 degree windchills. Meg has struck again!

Apple coming out with 2 new iPhones to please the Asian market that favors larger screens. One will be about 4.5 and the other phone will have a 5 inch screen. My old eyes will love that however will the phone fit in the tiny jean pockets ladies jeans have? My new one I gave myself for Christmas is slightly bigger and it wants to pop out of the pocket as it is.

Just heard a creepster took himself out in MD. Helpful. One less despicable person in the world.

My Galaxy phone dwarfs people's iPhones and fits just fine in my man pants pockets, even with the Otterbox cover. My gf had it peak out in her pants, but she stores everything in her purse. I don't think her iPhone fits either.

The lesson is wear man pants.

There really needs to be some organization that fights the unethical treatment of trash cans. We can call it PETTCBM: People for the Ethical Treatment of Trash Cans, Blame Meg

It tells you who the problem is right in the name. So we don't have to waste time chasing some patsy.

Well me, 5'2" would look real interesting in man pants. I am so jealous of the pockets in mens jeans, even the front pockets are so deep unlike ladies jeans.

I only carry a purse at best once or twice a year. I learned I don't need to haul all that stuff with me everywhere I go. I use one of those magic wallets that fold stuff into them. I carried a bit of cash, my Drivers licence, a credit card and debit card along with one check. Now a days a tiny Vera wristlet that is suppose to fit my iPhone but only does when the wristlet is completely empty. Stupid designers.

I'm a big Gilmore Girls fan. You're post reminded me of one of my favorite quotes from an episode.

"I’m gonna need a picture of this Jess so I don’t accidentally rip the head off the wrong kid 'cause that would be bad."

We need commuter-only lots at my school. We have to share with faculty and visitors, which often limits us, and then we are forced to park at the lot which is all the way down the hill and far away from everything, meanwhile there are faculty-only and visitor-only spots that are not being used, and instead they are in the spots that commuters need :banghead:. I'm sorry, but we're paying a lot of money for me to go there. Visitors aren't, and the faculty has an entire lot to themselves.

Visitors have to park in the meter spots here and pay. If there is a big event, they will close one or two of the large commuter lots for the day. All of the commuter lots are also staff lots, so I have the same problem, too.

My DDs University is about 3 square miles. 1800 acres. Every student, resident and commuting is given a bus pass to the cities transit system as is the staff as it can take an hour to cross campus. The parking lots are on the outskirts of campus and cost $650 per space per semester. All street parking is metered and is a dollar an hour.

So in our wake hours about the same cost as Walt Disney World. (Very much like CMs at the Magic Kingdom, they drive to the parking lot and then are bused to the MK property.) If you live on campus you have to take a bus to your car in most cases. They do everything they can to discourage cars on campus and it works. In the fall and spring my DD rode her bike to classes and to the cafeterias.
