Yeah, my parents called a service to come plow. There's so much snow, and there is no way I can do it by myself; my mom said if my dad were gone she would not do it herself either, especially not on a sprained ankle. All I'll have to do is some shoveling tomorrow. We got about a foot. I am not looking forward to the below 0 wind chills

Yeah I'm hard pressed to have my 22DD shovel heavy snow, the 93# young lady might break. I use to love to send DS out to help me or DH. Me, I'm short but given my two businesses, I am strong. We have a lot of property that needs to be cleared so at best I give her tasks like cleaning off the outside cars and the staircases and send her back in. I send her off when she goes out lately in the 4x4. Our road that leads to our home is bad lately, this every other day of snow is getting old.

My finding was that the health food initiative is worse in California than in Florida. I don't get it. At home, we were forced to eat healthy. On vacation, who the heck cares? Even now I still splurge on a burger every few days. At least now they do options, at least in WDW. DL still had more of the "We're going to force kids to eat healthy" mentality.

We use to do stints in WDW for 2 weeks per visit when my kids were younger. About ever 3-4 days I had to have real food. No buffets. I craved real food and I wanted real coffee, not NesCafe, in a real ceramic mug not disposable or refill mug, a real mug.

So Kona Cafe?

You know it is cheaper and more environmentally friendly to simply go to the hardware store and purchase a couple of heat tapes, wrap them around the pipes (they are thermostatically controlled) plug them in and just plain stop worrying about it freezing up.:)

Actually my Dad has sold it as he is an old man but my Dad was a commercial insulator so we have above what is standard in insulation. I understand what you are saying but you don't deal with the cold we are having in your climate. We are talking 20 below several times this year already. The water starts out so cold before entering the home it isn't far from freezing to start with, the concrete foundations in our basements are already surrounded by frozen soil. Heat tape is a far cry from what we need up here. If you leave a small amount of running water it doesn't burst the pipes. Water is $10/per thousand gallons here. The little water we waste beats the burst pipes.

And when it gets this freak'n cold, all bets are off when it comes to living 'green'. I do what I have to do in the world of Frozen. 2 1/2 hours out in Frozen frostbite weather leaves little consideration to the 'green.'

Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers. After hours and hours of struggling he passed this afternoon. He is at peace now. I really really appreciate this whole gang - thanks.

Edit - thank goodness for auto save - never posted this last night.
So sorry for your family's loss. Sending warm hugs and God's richest blessings.

Their ad is about Dannon yogurt. I'll bet they don't have rhubarb flavored yogurt.
Do we honestly think this would be any good?

I'll stick to my plain old Silhouette Greek vanilla.
(Which is actually the only one allowed on my diet, anyway.)

Well, I think I'm off to sleep for the night. I have had a headache for about 5-6 hours now.

Good night!

PS- Still in suspense for the Full House Oikos commercial!
