I remember the GAC/DAS thread well. I followed it quite closely.
I weighed in fairly early (page 2 - 63 likes), and shared the situation of my nephew Joey.
Unfortunately, since posting that, my cousin has had to surrender full time custody of Joey back to the agency. She still considers herself his mom; and he comes home for holidays, and every few weekends. He just can't live there anymore as he has become too much of a threat to the remaining members of the family.
I really feel for families in these situations, and tried to respond with non-judgemental kindness in that thread; but there were a couple of extreme posters on both sides of the fence. You weren't one of them, but the fellow you tangled was pretty "out there".
I posted my original thought, and then pretty much stayed out of the debate.

there will be always "edgy" guys just trying to get trouble.

Beforehand thank you for letting me get this out of my system. I called my sister and could hear a ruckus in the background. My niece had a handful of friends staying for a sleepover. One of the girls is studying cosmetology and was giving the girls haircuts, etc. Okay, talk to you tomorrow. Next day my mom asks if I knew my niece was getting her hair cut? Yes, I guess it needed a trim. Then my mom shows me a picture sent on her phone. My niece had beautiful long Elsa hair...now she has that stupid short shaved buzz Miley Cyrus look. I'm still sitting her repeating "It's not my kid, it's not my kid" to myself. Twenty years down the road I plan to remind her she did this.

I usually use Orbitz or Expedia, but the idea of the other site letting me extend where work is putting me for under $200 a night was tempting.

Well of course they must wait for the end of the year induction. This is a great honor and isn't just something people are inducted into whenever they feel like it. Just sending them in the right direction for when the time is right.
