Trying to catch up here...
1.) How was the chili? For future reference, chili is much better when cooked, chilled, then reheated. It brings out the spices more that way (an old trick I learned from a cowboy actually)
2.) "Beautiful" to means the whole deal - not just the physical part, but who you are inside. "Pretty" is just that - how you look. I'm not pretty (see avatar), but I have my moments where I can be beautiful. I much prefer that.
3.) A phone call with no one there but beeping? Maybe a wrong fax number?
4.) Threads used to be limited to 10,000 posts, so it's probably not fair to claim the longest thread without a clarification I suppose.
5.) Party time today!
Pay attention...Nemo is reverting back to a former life and I'm pretty sure that there will be a pop quiz after this. :bookworm:

Okay, ladies only.
What would you prefer your husband/boyfriend call you?
Beautiful or pretty?
IMO, pretty seems to be used more for younger girls (Little Tessa was so pretty today.) or for inanimate objects. (Those Christmas lights are so pretty.) Beautiful is a more endearing compliment but should reflect the acknowledgment that someone is beautiful on the inside and not just the physical appearance.

One should feel blessed that they have a significant other to tell them they are pretty or beautiful (and truly mean it) because one day that could stop happening.

Is there anything more disconcerting than a phone call at 4:25 a.m.?
Worse yet, no one there - just an annoying beeping.

Hopefully I can fall back to sleep once my pulse drops back into double digit territory.
I got a bunch of 6am phone calls yesterday morning from someone dialing the wrong number.

I wad worried when my phone rang the first time. After the third I yelled at him to not redial the number if you know it's wrong, then shut off my phone. I'm very cranky when woken up.

Perhaps the word "current" should be used. If there was never a cap on how big a thread was, we would never catch up with the Photo of the Day. Collectively all the PotD threads have 45,074 posts.

That's just mean. How will they get their jollies if you foil them by turning off your phone? Have you no heart?

The Word Association threads themselves are still going on also but are a little harder to total up since the names of them changed from thread to thread.

The asterisks are there because I don't know if they should be allowed in since Darth Tater is there already. :p

Also, there are a bunch of Sageteers who have only posted a few times. Should they count or not?

*ahem*

Here's the recipe (someone is going to ask...) It's from the Disney Food Blog:

Ingredients:
3/4 cup cornmeal
1 1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon baking powder
1 3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup milk
2 eggs

Method:
1. Mix flour, cornmeal, salt, baking powder, and sugar in a large mixing bowl.
2. In a separate bowl, blend milk, eggs, and oil until well mixed.
3. Using a mixer, slowly add the liquid ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing just enough to incorporate.
4. Spray a 9×13 baking pan with non-stick cooking spray and pour the batter into the pan, spreading evenly.
5. Bake in a preheated oven at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
