Where Do You Scrapbook?

So I have been in the process of creating a space to scrapbook, it was getting challenging to be scrapbooking on a small desk that was shared with a sewing machine and computer too! I've been searching online for organization ideas, so now that I've (mostly) completed creating a space I figured other people might be interested to see it and maybe post pictures or tell about where you scrapbook. Anyways, here's my space!

First, this is my former closet which I took the doors off of, and put a desk in! I made the ribbon holder, which surprisingly works pretty well and saved me some money on buying one!

Secondly, inside the cupboard of the desk I have a small storage unit to put some accessories in like flowers, stickers, ink, and stamps.

Lastly, beside the desk area, I found these cubes at Michaels. Obviously the slots have paper in them, and each of the smaller drawers has different items in it (one drawer is just Disney items, one is Christmas, one is Birthday, and the other is more stamps. The larger bottom drawer has many different smaller slots in it, so it holds a TON of stuff!

I work on a drop-leaf table that used to be my grandmother's. it actually works really well because i have plenty of space to spread out over the surface, but i can drop the leaves when i am not scrapping. (i usually leave them up though-never know when the urge to scrap comes). for supply storage, i have different bags and baskets. i just keep everything in them because i go to crops and retreats and i don't want to pack them up everytime. i'll add pics in a minute, though they're not very interesting or inspiring. Oh, well, i guess it is whatever works, right? it is kinda interesting to know what everyone else does because we all have our own styles.

That's a very nice space, stephdanielle! What a neat idea to transform a closet into your own scrapbooking space! I wish I could think of a closet that I could do that to.

Don't ask disneyfalcon about her space. :lol: I'm just kidding I'm sure when she gets on she'll post pictures of her awesome area, she is probably the most organized scrapbooker I know. I'm probably the least. :lol:

Right now I'm using my formal dining room as my space. Usually I have everything spread out on my table which is perfect since it seats 10. Although I do have to clean it up periodically when we have company and we need more than our six seater that we use for the family. Eventually when we finish off the basement I'll have a room in the basement dedicated to my needs and I'll finally get to be as organized as disneyfalcon, but that may be a ways away.

Nice space, stephdanielle. I scrap wherever I can. I have a two year old and no dedicated scrapbook space, so I have to pick my stuff up everytime after I use it. Usually I work on the kitchen table and once in a while I just use the floor of the living room. More often than not when I get much done though, it's because I'm at a crop somewhere else. So I just leave my stuff in my travel tote and bring it out when I actually have a few minutes. I also live in the same dream world as Jenn--getting the basement finished so I can claim a scrapping area of my own!

Stephdanielle - nice space! I love the green. I've also got 8 cubes like the ones that you have in my area. I need one more!

Right now, I have a scrapbooking corner in our bonus room. It's got a table, the cubes, etc. I really need a longer, higher table, though. We're getting ready to move, and I'm hoping to have a better, well lit space in our next home.

That's the ideal space I want to achieve! Ah! It looks great! LOL I am so anxious to get mine started. Anyways, this is the "desk" I am saving to purchase.

It's not really a "desk", it's a kitchen island. But I love the space I would have and I love the idea of storing baskets of materials just like the picture. It's sold at Kmart by Martha Stewart. Can't wait to get it so I can scrap again!

Ah, we can all dream of having that perfect scrapbooking space! I especially like in that picture how it has that nice window. Lighting is so important when you are scrapping!

I guess we'll just have to start finishing our basements ourselves, Coree, and stop waiting for our hubbies to do it! :lol:

i have a dedicated space, but i am always reorganizing it. no pics of it, because it is a mess right now. it is L shape in my bedroom.

i have been all over this house with a space until i ended up with this. i even made our big walk in closest a craft space, but did not like it in there.

when i moved the space into my room, i at first used a thomas the train table, which i actually loved, then hubby thought it better if i have the computer desk, so he swapped it out. i hate the desk! but now lacy has the train table for her castle, so i can't take it back.

i have storage and such shaped in an L. but i actually work on the floor. anyway it works for me.

nope, the laptop is on top of a box, the mouse is on a shorter box, and i sit indian style right here on the floor. :ROFLOL:

no room on the desk, it is just a place to hold stuff. i would hate a chair in here, one main reason, it would just be covered with stuff and i still won't sit in it.

That's about 10 years worth of stuff and I don't even want to think about how much money!!:lol:

And absolutely!!! Anyone can come!! Of course you have to come before July 1 when the Air Force moves us to Rhode Island!! I don't know what my space will be like there!
