When's the best time to visit Walt Disney World® Resort?

Hello,

As per this link: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/tickets/wonderful/index?id=ValueWeeksLandingPage

Walt Disney suggests that the first two weeks of March are among the best to visit as they have low crowds.

However, I know that in Canada the first two weeks of march is March Break. I understand that in the US it's a bit different, but still, isn't the first two weeks of march suppose to be very busy ?

I plan to book today (was suppose to yesterday) and want to make sure it will not be too bad.

We plan to go from March 1st to 8th.

Thanks for any advice

best time: Today
second best time: Tomorrow

There is no best time for me, but there are some times I'd just as soon avoid unless I just can't help it, and that would be New Year's & the 4th of July (crowds) and June-August (hot!)

oh, but to answer your question - there are plenty of weeks much worse than the first two weeks of March. I agree that those 2 weeks are usually a great time to go. If they fall into the week of Mardi Gras, it can be a little busier than otherwise though.

actually...probably most of the calendar year of 2009 will be a great time to go...minus June through early August since local schools are out...but judging by hotel bookings and slashes in park hours, crowds won't be a problem this year!

It's great to be an AP holder...

I like the first two weeks of December, but the first two weeks of March should be fairly low crowds. Most schools in the US don't have spring breaks until late March or early April and fall breaks are in February.

With the great discounts for March is should be a great time to visit!:)

We went for the very first time on October 9, 2000. We walked right up to every single ride, except for Dumbo (waited 20 minutes). The ONLY time was saw a crowd was waiting for the parade at MK the first night (duh). It was really a perfect trip for us. The second time we went (October 16, 2002) we made it during the PGA golf tournament. MASSIVE crowds! October 2004 was not quite as bad, but still very crowded.

I've done a lot of research for my own trips and September & October are really good, as well January & February. We're going to try the 2nd week of May next year.

I actually went during that week last year. The crowds were fine. However, these weeks change from year to year depending on when Easter is and when spring break is. I think you will be fine though.
