Was talking to a CM when I was at WDW a couple weeks ago. According to her, WDW's version of Captain EO is damaged and cannot be repaired and they don't have the equipment to duplicate the Disneyland version of it, therefore Epcot will not be getting Captain EO.
I hope never!

Damaged? No. Turned off. Yes. Everything for Captain EO is still in the theater (or at least almost everything), it's just been turned off for a really LONG time. Some of it probably wouldn't work anymore seeing as how it hasn't been touched in over a decade. We had techs in there examining the theater a few months back, seeing if it would be feasible to bring EO back. Personally, I hope they do. HISTA is old hack.

WDI keeps masters of all films. There would be no issue getting a print for Epcot if TDO wants it back.
No kidding, as if a second copy of the film print going into Disneyland couldn't be made. Or forget film altogether and go digital.
I hope never!
For the love of God, please never bring it back to EPCOT. HISTA is bad enough
Please tell me your tip of the day isn't related to a situation you've come across in your capacity as a lawman. :hurl: :lookarounBest 2 posts of this thread.
