When is your fall break?

Does anyone on here have September fall breaks? We are taking our 2012 trip to the World in Sept...but I want to schedule before Fall Breaks start if possible. I know October is the biggest month for fall break...just wondering if there are any that are earlier than that.

Just checked our calendar (Houston,TX area) and we get no fall break whatsoever. In fact, Columbus Day is the only day we have off between Labor Day and Thanksgiving break.

I am not sure of any districts that have a September fall break since most places begin school in Aug/Sept unless it's a year round program. I have taught and lived in MI, SC, and VA - and no Sept breaks. Some schools however, do observe the Jewish holidays, and depending on when in '11). Rosh Hashanah does fall in September and some districts have that time off. Columbus Day, mostly observed with a Monday off and on the East Coast, is in October. But other then Labor Day, no US holidays in September. I hope this info helps with your planning!

Certain counties in Georgia used to have full week breaks in September but they changed the school calendar a few months back. The calendar in place that was voted in LAST year was supposed to be in place for 3 years. Of course new people were voted in, they decided to do another "revisit" of the calendar, and it was changed. Anyways, I digressed (LOL still aggravated about it) ....alot of GA won't have breaks in September 2012 to the best of my knowledge.

Ours is October 17-21. I've been several times to WDW in September, and it is a wonderful time to go as far as attendance is concerned.

After this year many districts in TN will probably be getting rid of Fall Breaks due to the new law about the date that school can start.

Homeschoolin' in Texas!

My executive decision for next year and years to follow is that we will run our 'school year' from the end of September to the end of June vs. end of August thru the end of May. I've talked with a lot of homeschooling Disney fans who also do this and travel to WDW in September. :D

I can't believe I forgot to mention Homeschool Days. Last year Disney hosted Homeschool Days in September & January. I believe it's a pretty regular thing. It's done thru Disney's YES program. I don't know how much of a draw that is for additional people. I've not been before. Just an FYI.

No fall break for us, they actually did away with our February break for next year too. Central FL was on fall break during our trip last early October. You should be all set in September. :)
