What's your favorite WDW Souvenir? What souvenir would you like on your next trip?

I always get a photo album with the year on it, also a fridge magnet with the year on it. On my last trip to WDW i started collecting pins so i'm looking forward to getting more of those this year. My youngest daughter comes home with lots of cuddly toys and my eldest daughter spends most of her money on anything POTC related:)

I like to get a dated refridgerator magnet, dated photo album, and a dated pin. In our last two or three visits I have begun to get the oysters in Japan and have been very lucky to find large pearls in mine!

I almost always pick up a new coffee mug, hat and t-shirt every trip. The one thing we definitely purchase everytime is a new Christmas ornament...or 10.

On our next trip, since we are having our first child, I think anything we pick up would be geared to her. Though I'd still try and sneak in a new mug!

My favorite souvenir of all time was our family portraits that we had done in the Magic Kingdom for obvious reasons.

Hey Sweetpee who did you use for your family portraits in MK? I will be there in Oct on my honeymoon and I would love to have that done too.

opps forgot to put my fav souvenir......I ALWAYS buy the ride photo's, but 2nd would be pins & 3rd anything for scrapbooking

Oh gosh. I can't remember the photographer's name to save my life. He was very good, tho. It amazed me having the portrait sitting right there in the Magic Kingdom while they were shooting the Christmas parade for 2007 and there's not one single other guest in the background of any of our portraits. All those thousands and thousands of people and not one showed up in the shots. He used great angles while we stood on the lawn of the Rose Garden so the castle was behind us. Then we went into Belle's Storybook area. The lighting and back drop made for spectacular shots. I have a few of those in my photobucket but I don't want to hijack this thread inserting them.

You'd need to contact Disney's Photographic Services at 407-827-5099. It's pricey but it was family portraits which we had budgeted a chunk to do anyway. :D

My favorite souvenir is a tie between a Steamboat Willie bobble head and a snowglobe of Mickey in his tux and each of the 4 parks around him. When you whine it up it plays the tune to "It's a small world"

What I would like to get this time is 2 things one is something that works at WDW but is no longer sold there a Pal Mickey. I will be able to get it in two weeks since I will have some money saved for it :sohappy:.

The other thing I want is PINS and press pennies! I have currently 140 of WDW pressed pennies and I hope to have over 300 this time around out of 538 of Disney's pennies/quarters.

Where did you get the globe from? Will it still exist? This sounds like a brilliant reminder of thr parks and IASW is one of my favs!

difficult choice....

Hmmm, that's a difficult choice. I'd say for my kids their beach towels from Epcot which have Mickey faces covered in all the different flags of the countries. I love those! And as for myself, probably the Christmas ornaments we get each visit. Each time I take them out to put them on the tree I smile because it brings back the great memories from every trip.

My favorites on each trip:

-Park Maps (always free)
-Plenty of postcards
-Official Album (when its updated)
-Pictorial Booklet
-Monorail playset (I plan on getting whatever color they have this year again, currently have yellow that no longer works, plus black and blue)

What I would like to get:

-Cinderella Castle figurine (don't feel like paying the chunk out of my pocket for it)
-Contemporary Resort monorail add-on (would be a nice addition for under the tree this year)
-More character figures to display in my room and for the holidays, under the tree

By the way, do they sell the Sleeping Beauty Castle playset (available online at the Disney Store) at WDW? I don't care for the Cinderella Castle one. The Sleeping Beauty playset has a better assortment of little characters, plus the castle looks like the Disneyland one. I was considering on maybe getting it.

I'm saving up right now for what I do want to get when we're there this Sept!

Coffee Mugs, bottle openers, salt/pep shakers, Pirates of the Caribbean shirts each trip since I'm an alumni of East Carolina University (PIRATES!)

I want the LE Pirate Ship and some sort of Disney art - but it's always overpriced at DTD.

Hoping to make it to the Food and Wine Fest before my planned trip in December.:sohappy:

I was just there in March too! Disney, hire me already.

My favorite souvenirs are a little weird...I love the toiletries from the various hotels, the shampoos and the mickey soaps. If I had to chose one that was actually purchased I'd have to say it is the EPCOT track jacket I picked up on our last trip. My next trip pick up is the Mickey Garden Gnome, I hesitated on getting it and regretted it every since I got home.

DH and I have coffee mugs from the kitchen shop in DTD. They match his/hers. Mickey looks like he just rolled out of bed, in a bathrobe with a potbelly. Mine has Minnie with hair rollers, and and eyemask. We love them! I also like to get a Christmas tree ornament when we go. The last time we went it took me an hour to pick one out but it was SO MUCH FUN! :)

This is not my picture but I do have 2 of these coins I bought in WDW in 1982 or so. I have it on my keychain right now. I wish they still sold quality stuff like they used to.

For me it will be another new watch. I collect Disney watches and now currently have ten. Next will be dress shirts for casual bussiness wear and a sweat shirt, hat and t-shirt.

  • What is your favorite WDW Souvenir? (Can be free or purchased)
  • Are there any souvenirs you'd like to pick up on your next WDW trip?
My favorite is a Collectible Steamboat Willie figurine with Peg-Leg Pete.

A couple of souvenirs I'd like to pick up is a Beer Stein from EPCOT Germany, a family crest plaque (can't remember if it's EPCOT or MK), and also another Steamboat Willie figure with Clarabelle Cow.

My favorite souvenirs are the Pins and Mickey Mouse Ice cream :)

I'm going to get a Captain E-O shirt from EPCOT

The souvenir that means the most to me is a small orange cat figure that I bought in Japan in Epcot. At the time of my last trip, I had a very sick cat at home and the figure looked just like her. So I kept it in my camera bag and took pictures of it all over Epcot. I still bring the figurine everywhere I go.

I also love my charm bracelet that I add to every trip, and my Micky Mouse silhouette hoop earrings.

The next time I go, I am probably going to get either a shirt or sweatshirt, and maybe a monorail set for my Dad's Christmas tree.

My favorite is my red monorail that I just got a few weeks ago. I can't wait to see it around my tree this Christmas! Which will be really great because I am planning on returning to the world sometime around Christmas so that will help me get extra excited.

My other favorite is my dog Pearl's (Yes, named after the Black Pearl) dog bowl and placemat. They are covered with all of the famous Disney dogs and the bowl shows the castle when it is empty. I only use it to put in dog cookies and rawhide bones in it. I try not to let her see me put in her cookies and bones. She always checks it when she comes in from outside. She knows it as her "magic bowl". I also always get her a Disney dog tag if the one she has is getting old.

We get a Christmas ornament at the shop in WSC Germany everytime...I also used to get a purse or tote bag but due to lack of space that had to stop (lol) so two trips ago we started doing magnets with the name/date of the resort we are staying at!

Every trip we buy a dated photo album, and either a plate or snow globe. And unfortunately they closed it up but we always did the photo as you exit the backlot tour--they take your pic in front of a green screen and put you in a disney movie scene. Those are so much fun~! Is there any where else they do these now? I have also had the silhouette drawings in Liberty square done the past few times, those people who cut them out are amazing, and it is so much fun to compare them!

And am I the only one who saves the napkins and cups...?:lookaroun I think they make fun souvenirs...

Next trip: I love Disney P.J.'s of any kind, so I will probably get some more. And stuffed animals, and things for my doggie and all the kiddies in the family.

Does anyone know if they sell the Sleeping Beauty Castle monorail playset (available online at the Disney Store) at WDW? I know they do sell the Cinderella Castle one but I think that castle looks nothing like the actual thing. The Sleeping Beauty one looks like the actual castle at Disneyland, plus I think there is a better assortment of little characters that comes with it. I know they did sell some of the old DCA sets awhile back.
