What's your favorite section at Pop Century?

We stayed there for one night last November in the 50s and thought it was really nice and convenient. We're staying again for 4 night in August and are not staying in a preferred room. Just wondering what section people like the best and why. Thanks!

If not staying in a preferred, I like the 70's section. I like the themeing, but also the 70's section is on the bus stop/food court side of the main building, with a parking lot also very close to your room. Also, it is closer to the food court than 80's or 90's, and just as close as most of the 50's.

For perspective sake, I have stayed in the 60's twice, 70's twice, and 90's once. Also, room view at Pop is unimportant to me, as is proximity to a pool.

I stayed in the 80's this past June and it was great... it was a further walk from food court and bus stops (about 5 minutes) ..... but the pool (computer) was never crowded and it was nice and quiet. I loved the giant Roger Rabbit. I think the theming for the resort is really great!

I love the 50's section! It's just to the right when you walk out of the lobby and it's a short walk to bus stops & food court. Also, even though the 80's & 90's building are all the way in the back, the computer pool is very quiet & uncrowded & you can cut through the parking lot and be a the bus stop really quickly! There's no place like home!

If you are doing non preferred then 50's on the "back side" (of the juke box) is my choice.

I'm a light sleeper and this is the quietest room(s) I've ever stayed in at a Value resort.

We stayed at Pop Century a few trips ago and I forget what building it is, but I know it is NOT preferred, We had a beautiful view of EPCOT from our room. You could see Spaceship Earth, it especially beautiful at night. It was a little more of a walk as it, as I said, is not a preferred building. But, my son was 3 at the time and each night he fell asleep looking out of the window at Spaceship Earth in the distance. I loved it. I would request this building. I am sure reservations will know which building this is. Sorry I forgot.

Same here the 70's is a really great location and would stay there again in a heart beat. Close to everything and quite. Being preferred, I would request 60's facing away from the pool.

I like the 70's as well. I thought it was rather close to everything without being a preferred room. I also liked the 50's for similar reasons. Are you driving down? If so, you may want to be in the 80's or 90's for proximity to the parking areas. Marie

We've requested the 70's both time we've stayed at POP. First time we were on the 4th floor and loved it. Second time we were assigned a first floor room. We were initially disappointed, but ended up loving it too! Woke up every morning opening our doors to hourglass lake, very peaceful.

We're flying, so proximity to the parking lot doesn't matter to us. We stayed in the 50s one night before and enjoyed it. I wanted to make sure we'd be fairly close to the food court and busses as we have to little ones. Thanks for all the opinions!

I wonder if you stayed in the "back side" of the 50's like I did.

I forgot to add that one thing we also liked about being on the back side of the "T" of the 50's section was that we could see 2 fireworks shows from the balcony in front of our room. Wouldn't really be able to see it if you were on the 1st floor, but if you were on the 3rd floor like us, you'd be able to see them. We were never quite sure which fireworks we were seeing, but we guessed it was Fantasmic and Reflections of Earth.
