What's with these people!?!?!

Ah, the Brazilians <3 You gotta love them! =) They make our work days at DQ busy busy busy!!! But you know what bothers me more then tour groups? When you're on a Disney bus and the kiddos are kicking their feet against the wall of the first few seats of the bus underneath the chairs and the parents don't do anything to stop it.:fork:

I had to actually ask a child kindly to stop doing that and nope he didn't stop and his mom just looked at me, seriously? SERIOUSLY? *sighs*

o my are they annoying! definitely brazilians. i have to agree with everyone else that they are very rude, cutting in line, jumping in front of u and when u try to move past them they just stand there. :fork: we've been in the first week of December & the last week of January & the groups were abundant. so i guess they are there all year round making everyones trip fantastic no matter when u go. u just can't avoid em. i'll never forget sitting and waiting for fantasmic to start & listening to the chanting for over an hour. NONSTOP. you'd think they'd stop for air or something haha but no! i had a migraine by the time the show started. i just don't get why they don't make them be quiet. they are ruining not just mine, but apparently lots of other people's disney experiences. i'm sure theres been plenty of complaints but still nothing. i get they want to have fun, but so do i, and i cant do that with annoying yellers/chanters/rude groups of teenagers constantly yelling in my ear. :brick: sorry i'm done. just had to vent. =) but seriously they should do something to make them behave and act like human beings on vacation not wild animals disturbing other people. ok i'm really done this time!

oh no...we're going in the beginning of december this year...i hope they're not there! i've said stuff to people before and won't be shy to do so this december if i encounter any problems. there's nothing wrong with having fun, but not at other people's expense!

My wife and I got stuck with a large Brazilian group in the queue for Dueling Dragons once and after thirty minutes of their screaming and clapping and chanting in that tight, confined space I had a headache....THIS.....BIG!!!

They were so obnoxious. I asked them once, very politely, if they could please tone it down, but they then just got a big kick out of becoming even louder, if that was possible. Of course, there was no Universal workers anywhere in that line to complain to, so I just decided to keep my mouth shut and fill my mind with a very loud, colorful string of profanities.

I kept expecting a soccer net to materialize out of some wall and Pele to run by and bicycle-kick a ball in for a goal, but, alas, that never happened. Oh well. Just one of the joys of Orlando theme parks.

That happened during illuminations. One kid was pointing his laser pointer on the globe and they were cheering and getting very loud during the quiet scenes. The still globe scene is when I play with my camera but they were a bit over the top at the part where the globe comes out. I know it is cool to see but this was clapping and screaming all thru out the show. The language that was coming out of their mouths should have had them escorted. Remember im 19 and can be loud at times so if I say it was bad... it was bad. And the brazilians... I try to be accepting to every nationality but I think I know where hell is. I see the same thing in Disney but in Acadia Maine I see them going off the trails destroying all the plants and I lost count of how many times one almost fell off a mountain ledge. Look at this random video I fount and guess where they were standing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmEP34pGYac. It shouldn't be to hard to figure out.

Talk about trapped!

I'm a teenager and part of the reason I don't want to go to grad night is because I just hate being an annoyance to everyone and being with people who don't respect the park or the workers or anything. :/

P.S.- still haven't encountered a Brazillian tour group head on!:sohappy:

Other larger tour groups including cheer leading, choir, and band kids can be just as loud and obnoxious, but it does come down to a few things:

-These other (usually American) tour groups of cheerleaders, choir, and band kids usually have more chaperoans, and they are usually older or the parents of some of the kids. The Brazilian tour groups are often female mobs that are only accompanied by one or two young male leaders usually in their 20s.

-While I am not prejustice towards people, I have come to find that my mood does change when I hear loud foreign family vs a loud english speaking family. Why? Because at least I can understand what they are saying. Think about it. We have Americans that yell across crowds at people to get Fastpasses for something and thing nothing of it, but when a person who speaks XXXXXX does it, we tend to be more annoyed.

Now, besides all that, another interesting thing about Brazilian tour groups. From what I understand, in parts of Brazil they do not flush waste paper down the toilet, but rather throw it in a waste bin. Imagine finding all that waste paper on the floor now when the waste bin isn't available. :D That's all I'm saying. (Of course, I could be wrong about that.)

I can't speak for Brazil, but I do know for a fact this is true of Mexico.

My wife has a part-time job cleaning our church building every week and the week that the Mexican work crew came to lay new sod, she arrived to find the men's room trash can full of soiled toilet tissue. She was quite upset about this, but I've heard it just stems from the fact that running water isn't as prevalent in these other locations as it obviously is in the US.

we had to deal with them as well, but I treat them as they treat us, they get the idea real fast, and if the protest I say what they say..... ME NO SPEAK BRAZILION!!!

Seriously just deal with it, if you dont like it dont go.

Honestly they kill the ambience? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA what are we in a musuem.
Get over yourselves, I still hear the bgms and get in the theme, doesn't kill the magic for me.

and if not, got my ipod when i get home :animwink:

Yes they can be rude at times, but theyre having fun. Do I not like it, yes i dont like it, at times its annoying, but its part of a trip at a WORLD destination. Learn to deal, and I highly doubt any of you do anything about it on your trip, all talk.

If you want plan around it, or find a new destination. I dont let it ruin my trip, your being unreasonable if you think that this is the end all be all. Put yourselves in those shoes, being in america at one of the best places to be, id be chanting too, id be beyond excited. Rude at times yes, but I deal.

Cant wait for my trip in July, i know ill see tour groups, but its part of the trip, maybe ill be annoying with my friends as well, join in on the chants. If you cant beat em join em. I hope that you guys are in line behind me too.

Ill kill the line ambience for you , and ruin your 40 mins or more on line :brick:, cause standing still on line is a blast!

No offense but I have a problem with these tour groups and it can kill an experience... I'll relate a story from about a year and a half ago.

It's after park closing at Hollywood Studios and Fantasmic is just getting out. Mickey's of Hollywood is still opening and there's a father and young daughter sitting outside of Sid Cahuenga's waiting for someone inside Mickey's. The little girl (who couldn't have been older than 4) is playing and having a good time with her father when this brazilian tour group starts running down hollywood blvd. after Fantasmic lets out. They were chanting, screaming and acting like an out of control mob with nothing to stop them, despite other guests attempting to say things. The little girl was apparently so scared she started crying and hides behind her father. Even after they left she was extremely nervous. So yeah, it can kill an experience. I felt so bad for that little girl and I figure now, she's probably not crazy about going back.

My main problem is that despite how you treat them, they'll take whatever they can get and yeah it is a world destination, however, be respectful of the people around you. They paid their money to get in (well some of them anyway) as well and they deserve to have just as much of a good time but when these groups start taking over, it's too much and they can't be stopped. There was a time a few years back when these groups were asked not to come to Disney anymore because of the problems they caused (such as a huge fight/riot between groups at a Fantasmic show). I would be more than happy to accomodate these things but I don't understand why they need to carry on the way they do. I mean they travel around in this huge group (which is really kinda dumb because if they split up it would be beneficial to them) and they just flash mob attractions, get in single rider lines as a group, and then just carry on like they're at a soccer game or whatever. Sadly, it is too much to just ignore.

How can anyone complain about a huge group of Brazilian girls in skimpy clothes running and singing?

Folks pay big money for an experience like that!
