What's with the wait times!? (hint.. they're low)

I guess it could be to work out more operational kinks or allow more time to finish Pixar Pals?

It definitely had a lot to do with getting the system and cast members more familiarity with how to run the land.

It also bought them a few more weeks to get the new parking structure ready.

Don't forget that the park closes at 6pm today, so that likely kept even more people at home who saw the open hours were shorter than usual.

It was nice going to both parks today. Most wait times except for Radiator Springs Racer were 5 minutes to 30 minutes. I pray this trend stays the same all summer long.

So now that crowds are not a problem can they undo the unnecessary Project Stardust crap?
Maybe wait until June 24 when the land is open to all guests without reservations. Then the Flex Pass is unblocked in July and Deluxe Pass is unblocked in August. All APs unblocked in September. The Rise of Resistance could be opened in a few months. Everyone who seen the Land previously will want to see it again plus everyone who didn’t.

Hey, that Project Stardust will be appreciated then.

True. We haven’t seen the hell of what an open GE will bring.

Project Starbust will never be appreciated. Removing trees, planters, and curbs do nothing about the real problem of too many APs in the park. The only thing it did was create more stroller parking and damage the park. Thanks, Kim Irvine.

Locals know you need a reservation....

I think the massive blockouts, including the employee pass blockouts, are the key here. Saturdays in summer are always the slowest day of the week because of that, and today is an extreme example of that blockout calendar.

I was surprised my non-Disney friends knew about the reservation requirement. It sounds like the morning news shows have done a good job letting people know about the restrictions.

I also think late August and the week after Labor Day will be the real test as more AP's are unblocked.

Remember when everyone said it would be a disaster... people would come without reservations and storm city hall? I guess word got out that you need one...

Now wait until June 24th...

I'm thinking it still might not be that bad as the lower passes will be blocked out completely for the rest of the summer by then. Add that to the virtual queuing for GE and it really could end up being a pleasant summer.

Now August when all the lower passes come out of their blocked periods, that might be the real test....

But I do think the park will be busier with tourists coming in to check it out. School's done up here in Canada by then... so I'm sure a ton of families will be coming.

Oh sure, I'm not saying it'll be shoot a cannon down Main St and hit no one pleasant, but a normal busy summer.

That's probably the most hilarious image I've had in my head all day.

Annoyed Stroller Brigade Mom: "Not now Jimmy"

True, but at least half the country will be going to Florida for the SW:GE experience once theirs opens in August. June and July in LA might get some East coast visitors they normally wouldn't have.
