What's with all the hate?

I have nothing to say about the mine train until I actually ride it.

Little Mermaid I just did not like how the story progressed. It felt rushed and incomplete. It just goes from the kiss to "And they all lived happily ever after." Wait, what happened to the whole Ursula taking Ariel's voice situation? If you don't clearly remember the whole movie, you are left with a lot of questions.

That is just my stupid opinion.

Your opinion is stupid!!

Disney is, what it is, a fun place to lose yourself in the fantasy of another time and place for a while.
Why can't people just let it be just that.
No need to hate but yeah i get it fun to debate which is favs and why but do not take it personally....
Mermaid and Pan were very different eras in time and place and each deserve their place.

Holy fish sticks! If I had a dollar for every time I saw a hate thread for how disappointed someone was for the opening of Little Mermaid, or Seven Dwarves... What... Is.. the DEAL!?
There actually is a problem with the Little Mermaid ride because the DCA version got an overhaul recently for the ride itself, not for the queue despite it opening in 2011. The DCA version wasn't highly thought of either.

I mentioned that because New Fantasy Land version of the ride is the same as the DCA version was before the overhaul happened except for the queue. That meant the Mermaid ride was flawed when it was created for DCA and the New Fantasy Land since the DCA just finished its overhaul.

I think we may have missed his point on this topic. The point that I think he was trying to make is that in general there is a lot of negativity on sites like these directed at Disney. Disney is a place that we all feel very passionate about or we would not be spending so much time and energy on sites like this one and we are all entitled to our own opinions on how the parks are progressing. I just think that for a place that brings us all so much joy we spend a lot of time harping on the negatives instead of embracing the positives. At the end of the day we got 2 more ride experiences to go along with Peter Pan and all 3 are great rides that you cant experience anywhere else other than Disney. The beauty of it is that we get to enjoy a ride that is timeless at 40 years old in Peter Pan and we get to enjoy the new technology of today in LM and TSDMT. It is original imagineering and new imagineering and we get to enjoy both.

:):):):):):):)I hope everyone has a magical day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:):):):):):):)

Well said. (: Wish I could've explained it better like that :p

Mission:Space can hardly be compared to a carnival ride. That's not even a close comparison. No carnival ride employs the technology used to exert the kind of G-forces on you that MS does, nor the video technology either to immerse you in the attraction.

It's a gravitron with PS2 graphics, and a bunch of buttons and joysticks that don't do anything

I agree. Look at it this way. The Tea Cups at MK let you spin as fast as you can turn the vehicle in which you are sitting. Mission Space lets a machine spin you much faster than you could possiblly spin yourself and flashes a few lights at you and tells a short story while doing it. Both spin you in circles, one just does it faster. Same concept, the only difference is speed and presentation.

And that MS makes my tummy hurt :(

Tea Cups not so much!

Once again...it's because Little Mermaid was originally conceived as a grand adventure.

They planned out a four-course steak dinner but ultimately delivered a drive-thru 99 cent menu.

So basically your problem is you raised your expectations too much by keeping too close of an eye on the planning. If you just went and experienced it without comparing it against something maybe you'd have a better time.

isnt the main problem of Little Mermaid, the fact that you can see many equipment (specially the ceiling) and the bare ceiling with no details in a lot of areas?

In certain parts of the ride... there are room that they look like your typical carnival ride.. only the show scene are detailed and themed but everything else around you is just a plain building.etc ?

I knew nothing of the ride going in other than its' existence and that it was new. I purposely kept myself sequestered from information threads before our trip in Sept.

That having been said, I also felt as though the ride was a letdown. For reasons enumerated by myself and others on this thread already so I will not go into a long drawn out spiel again but I had hoped for much more considering it was new, it was Disney and I felt that the queue sets you up to think the ride is going to be so much grander than it really seemed to me.
