What's up with Imagination?

Maybe Disney has something even better up their sleeves. All we know is, Disney needs to use the new technology they have an impress their guests. Why let it sit around and collect dust?

Now that is a good system they have there, incredible its even on water.

Its really not on water. There is a light blue tile lining the "tank" for Aquatopia, and the water isn't deep at all. The vehicles have wheels (covered by the "bumper buffer") that give the illusion that they are hovering on the water when they are in fact wheeling along a wet floor.

Its still an impressive attraction though!

This actually has been thrown around here (in the past) at great length. Winnie the Pooh in Tokyo (I believe it's TDL) uses this ride system. Good call!

Do you mean the trackless cars or the concept of a stationary scene? I read that one reason for changing the imagination ride was to get rid of the turntable - but that doesn't mean they had to totally destroy the ride:confused: I wonder if people would have even noticed if the turntable were not there. I would certainly keep it a dry ride though - wet rides like Pirate of the Caribbean, I wonder how they keep the mold and mildew at bay.

JUst got back from the world late last night. Was lucky enough to get to go upstair in JII the pin tables are still there the color tunnel is there but barely on. Most of the old imageworks things are gone and the glass permid with the elivator is empty. There were works building a wall and mudding the seems. I got a few photos but still trying to down load them not sure how to? It was great to see the up stairs again. It had been over 15 years!

I walked right up! If you need more proof I have photos. Just do not know how to down load them. The walls are not from the waste management, This is all new and the dry wall is not all up there yet.

He is correct about all of the construction going on up there, I have been up there a few times in the last 6 months and they are still there, I don't know how you saw the rainbow tunnel though as it is behind the construction walls as of last time I was there.

Thanks for clearing that up for me, very cleverly designed there, it does give the illusion of being completely on water.

You just have to go in from around on the other side, those construction walls are only an isolated area in the middle of ImageWorks. Or you can go in the exit for the Sensor area, across from the kaleidoscopes.
