Disney seems to doing lots of little projects on the Imagination pavilion lately.. what's up? Why? Is there a larger project coming or is this just maitenance so we can enjoy HISTA forever?

They replaced the screen at HISTA, the installed a "reverse osmosis" system which is apparently to wash the 3D glasses, they redid the ride postshow with new flooring and lights. And now they're building little walls with doors..

What's going on? Why all the work?

You forgot about the closure of Figment's Place and the retirement of the Figzilla walk around character.

Why all the work? Preparation of course. :animwink:

They could replace HISTA with ANYTHING and it would be more interesting...

Isn't the boy in that like 35 years old now????

The new film will be titled:

"Mystic Flights: A Magic Journey with the Lovable Trio of Dreamfinder, Figment, and Captain EO"

Shooting is already underway aboard a hot air balloon tethered above southern California... :lookaroun

Will they ever open up the second floor of the Imagination pavillion? That used to be our favorite place (back when DreamFinder ran the show). The second floor used to have the funniest photos (Kodak of course) displayed on stand up boards, those giant steel pin tables, that weird multi-colored light tunnel, along with the rest of the items that are now found on the first floor. :)

All these refurbs suggest they won't be making any majors changes to this pavilion anytime soon. :brick: We can still hope though.:animwink:

Something needs to happen soon at Epcot. It's starting to get stale.

Kim Possible is iminent, but something big needs to happen to Wonders, Imagination or Energy soon and WS really could use an attraction.

I would have to disagree. It's arguably the "freshest" of the four parks, but I would agree that to keep up that momentum they still have a ways to go (which may have been what you were going for).

It finally occured to me what they're up to...

They're going to build a "partition wall" that seperates the Imageworks (freshly refurbed) from the ride, like the one that kept Soarin seperate from the Land building and the one that is keeping The Wave seperate from the Contemporary lobby. They're putting a metal door in it too.

Or so i think..

All I know is that a large sum of $$$ has been earmarked for that pavilion for work to commence in fiscal quarter 1 of '09, which begins in October.

I know changes are coming and that HISTA is to be replaced as part of them.

With what exactly ... I dunno.
