What's one of the worst things that has happened to you at WDW

Well, this isn't what happened to me but when my dh and I went to MK and we saw this huge pile of puke on the bridge, and on our corner was a kid covered in puke and a CM talking to the kid saying that it's okay and that happens to everyone. Couldn't have been older than eight.

What happened to us though was we were waiting for the bus to go to DTD and when the bus doors opened instead of going through the front of the bus, we went through the second doors (the back of the bus). The bus driver gave us an attitude about how we had to go through the front of the bus. Which bothered us because throughout our trip anyone could enter at the back of the bus as well. So we got off the bus and the bus was too crowded for us, so we waited another twenty minutes for a bus and when we arrived there were people that were entering from the back of the bus and they weren't lectured at!!! What bothered us that we missed our reservations and had to wait for fifty minutes for a seat, plus they were no real set rules on if you can enter at the front and/or back of the bus. It just bothered us because the bus driver made us feel like we were being rude when we weren't.

i JUST remember something else that happened. well, it didn't really happen to me or my family, but my mom was a witness. it was getting dark, and me, my sister, and my friend were on Splash Mountain. so mom was standing between the bridge and The Briar Patch. of course, this was June, so it was fairly busy through that area. at least one woman (i'm sure there were two) were walking along, and just so happen, a rabbit shot out of the bushes and right between one of the lady's legs. apparently, the collision broke the rabbit's neck or back or something, and it died instantly. and, obviously, the poor woman was shaken up a bit. mom found two janitors and they took care of the poor little rabbit. :(

I just don't understand how throughout the week on our trip they allowed many people to enter at the back of the bus.

Only people with disabilities and their group members are allowed to board via the rear doors.

I would never be forgetful enough to leave my pass in a Fastpass machine.

I'd leave it ON TOP of the Who Wants to Be A Millionaire? Fastpass machine.

I felt really stupid when the CM who found it asked me who was on the ticket...I thought for a while, it's one of the 'Big 4'...what's the name of that duck?...oh yeah DONALD!

The worst thing, though, was when my then 4 year old girl declined the restroom on Tom Sawyer Island near the raft dock, then ON THE RAFT decided she couldn't wait for the restroom on the other side....

Out of Control...

Sad,...but funny!
My wife and I were walking around in Animal Kingdom when an totally obnoxious child (about 7-8 yrs old) bashed into us while he was laughing and runninng away from his mother. His mother was running behind him yelling "Jimmy, don't run! Jimmy don't walk on the benches! Jimmy be good!" etc etc. Unfortunately they were going the same way we were going. He was completely out of control! He would look back and laugh at his mother and would be even MORE unruly. Jumping on the wooden benches and jumping off - ripping the leaves off the trees and bushes. Aaargh! We were muttering under our breath how we wished he would knock it off when he tried to jump onto a rock formation, missed and hit his head! Ok..I know this is going to sound really bad, but all we could do was laugh!...A Cast Member came running over and helped them. We just walked away knowing the Cast Member had it under control. My wife just continued to softly chuckle and thanked the pixie dust for keeping him under control!

The worst thing wouuld have to be when I was on Test Track and a couple of guys in the front row where giving the bird to the on ride photo camera. It's sad when somebody thinks it's funny to be rude.

The worst thing that I've ever seen is the amount of destruction and trash that happened two weeks ago.

At All-Star Sports, the college cheerleaders had broken bottles all over the place, the buildings reeked of booze, and I even saw a 25 can pyramid on one of the tennis balls.

It made me sick.

The worst things that happened to me at WDW weren't that bad. The first happened in 1990. I was 7 at the time and had a bright colored early-90's style type of hat. I wore it the whole vacation, until I left it on the bus one night on the way back to CBR. I was so upset at having lost it. I still think that Figment took it. :animwink:

The second happened in 1996. We were staying at All-Star Music. One time, late at night, we were swimming in the main pool. This big cockroach type critter comes into the pool too. It had to have been at least 4 inches long (which is probably an exageration). Thankfully, my dad managed to get it out of the pool, and it went it's merry way. :D

Hey! That might have been me. Couple of trips ago, I went to the fastpass at WWTBAM and there was a park pass already in the machine. I got my FP and then turned in the pass to a CM that was standing there.

When I went in on that FP, I ended up making it to the hot seat. I figured it was the karma credit plan paying off for having turned in someone's park pass.

As for the worst thing that has happened to me at WDW. I guess getting pooped on by birds twice in one day would be the worst.

Either that or Hurricane Floyd. Tough call.

When my sister was in the 8th grade, she took a class trip to WDW. She was eating at the somewhere at MK and a bird flew by. After she found out it wasn't mayonaisse, she had to go get it taken out at First Aid. It was the highlight of her trip.

On a separate note, are those alligators real in the pond between Frontierland and Liberty Square?

Yes, they are very real, believe me! There was an 8-footer in there in Summer 02... and he ate a heron, a turtle, and a rabbit, all right in front of guests!

Alligators? Why have I never noticed gators at MK? Where are they exactly. I guess I better book my next trip so I can see for myself! Someone else in a post mentioned that an alligator got killed in the MK and I was confused.

It seems like a lot of people are getting pooped on by birds. When I was there a couple weeks ago, I saw a bird swoop down and steal this guy's pretzel just as he was about to take a bite. Those things are scary!! My bf and I were sitting at one of the umbrella tables eating McDs french fries between Adventureland and Frontierland. The people next to us thought it was cute to feed their fries to the birds. Ugh! We were surrounded! That is so gross and all of those birds staring you down is just plain creepy. They could just start pecking at you anytime and it would be all over. Why don't they have scarecrows or pest control to keep them away? Are they just that immune?

Its a new attraction from Disney. "Alfred Hitchocks: THE BIRDS". It is an E-Ride on foot where you run for you life while animitronics that look like park guests throw french fries at you, encouraging the birds to attack. Pretty amazing.

Amazingly, in more than a year walking around Epcot, I never got pooped by the seagulls or birds, but a friend of mine was. We were working at the AMGARD Theater, and while getting instructions previous to begin, we were all on the benches and the seagull dropped a half 'chopped' fish and landed on her hair and blouse! :hurl: It also stunk terrible! We all jumped and she was sooo mad! Then, the same week, we were working again, this time at the WSC Plaza, and another bird pooops on her! We couldn´t believe it! Twice in a row to the same person of the group!

However, I did get stung by a bee! I was talking to a guest in the promenade in front of the American Pavillion, and all of a sudden I feel something fell into the back of my white mexican pavillion dress (you know, the collar is wide and low) and it got trapped on my waist with the sash. THEN, it stung me! Matter of seconds! I grabbed the back of the dress and ran desperately to the cast cafeteria behind the pavillion. When I got in there, I ran to the restroom barely making there to take that dress off and there it was.... the stupid bee! I had never been stung by one -boy it hurt! :dazzle: I went to the nurse to get it looked at and I stayed with a cold pack for a while there and got some ibuprofen, but nothing went too bad, other than the swelling. :)

The place you're most likely to spot the gator is right next to the hot dog cart by Pecos. Just on the river side of the cart, the dock/walkway thingy forms a box shape, look in the middle of there. :)

And that was me that mentioned the alligator getting killed. this is the same gator that ate all the other animals. He was about eight feet long, and hung around for awhile at the end of last summer. CMs in the area had started calling him "Fluffy." Unfortunately, Fluffy was fed by so many guests that he became too accustomed to humans and was a danger. As I understand it, Disney's in-house pest control could not remove him because he was too big, so they called in animal control. Animal control showed up, they couldn't get him (and I hear he even broke their gear in the process). In the end, the gator just had to be flat out killed because he was too much of a danger to guests.

Believe me, I saw plenty of people without disabities and who didn't need assistance enter the back of the bus. I just wonder how come one bus driver threw a fit about it, but most bus drivers couldn't care less.

It's not the end of the world and it didn't ruin our trip. It was just frustrating at the time.
