The second happened in 1996. We were staying at All-Star Music. One time, late at night, we were swimming in the main pool. This big cockroach type critter comes into the pool too. It had to have been at least 4 inches long (which is probably an exageration). Thankfully, my dad managed to get it out of the pool, and it went it's merry way. :D

Actually, in southern parts of the states they're are bugs that are pretty big. I've seen some house spiders there that are the size of clocks.

The worst (and scariest) thing that happened to me when i was at Walt Disney World happened when i went with my marching band in January 2003. I was 15 years old then and it was my first time there. We were at MGM and it was about 45 minutes before fantasmic started and my group of friends and i were in line for food. I was last in line and my friends forgot that i was still in line! I thought that they would wait at a table for me or something but they forgot. I got out of line, and i didnt see them. The problem was that i didnt know where fantasmic actually was, it was getting dark, my hands were full with my food and drink, and there were swarms of people around the area. (In fact i was very close to the enterance of Fantasmic, i just didnt know it) After a few minutes of searching, i started to panick and it was one of the most scariest moments of my life. But then, a savior came!! It was one of my friends from the group, and he was running toward me and apologized that they had forgot about me! He felt really bad. The rest of the group had saved us very good, middle-center seats and the show was awsome. I don't know what i would of done if it wasnt for my one friend who came back. I thanked god that i made it through that event when i walked with my friend to our saved seats!
Ah high school band trips what fond... no that's not it, what fun... no not quite either...hmm... what memories. that happened to someone in my group of friends every trip we took.

Last year, my parents came up from the Tampa area to spend the day at Epcot with us. My Dad is a retired GM employee, so he was very interested in Test Track and wanted to ride it. I tried to talk him out of it, but he insisted on riding and wanted to do things with the grandkids. He did great on the ride until we hit the speed section. He was so sick, he couldn't even walk out of the building. I ran back to Guest Services and rented a wheelchair, ran back to TT and got him in it and after about 30 minutes I had to take him back to our room at POR because he was so sick. On the way back to the room, he puked in the Epcot parking lot, barely getting the door open to avoid ralphing in our brand new car. Of course, our room was on the second floor and I had to get him up the stairs by myself (rest of the family stayed in the park). I got him in the room and he started shaking uncontrollably. When I told him I was going to call 9-1-1, he smacked his arm on the bed and his shaking stopped. After sleeping for 4 hours, he was fine and re-joined us for the rest of the day. He did fine, but we only let him ride El Rio del Tiempo after that.

Wow, I'm glad your Dad is ok and was able to enjoy the rest of the trip.

2 1/2 years ago, we had switched from the boardwalk to Old Key West. since it was early in the morning, we decided to go over to Carribean Beach to get breakfast, and my sister could feed the ducks and birds there. somewhere in the midst of feeding the birds, I was bitten by a bug on my left ankle. I didn't think much about it (them no-see ums are vicious, but I get bitten all the time by them.) My cousin and Uncle flew down from chicago for a few days to stay with us at OKW, and we had to pick them up at the airport. and after, we checked in to OKW, and went out to the parks. (we left for the MK about 11:30 am). so we were walking around MK, riding rides and such.

About 5 o'clock or so, we decided to go on Buzz Lightyear before leaving the park for dinner at Chef Mickey's. We were waiting in line, and a boy about 8 or 9 was in front of us. he turned around and starting talking to us, and asked me about my ankle. I looked down, and my ankle had swolen up to the size of a softball! I said that a bug had bitten me that morning, which was the WRONG thing to say to this kid. he then turned to his mom and asked if all of HIS bug bites were going to do that to him.....

then. later on at Chef MIckey's.....

my dad is a pharmacist, so he is always carring around drugs for headaches, bug bites, etc... He was fixing me up with some bug cream and a bandaid, when chip and dale came over to say hello to our table. they saw my ankle, and began poking at it and pretending to laugh. it hurt like a m............. and I was none to pleased with it.

the entire week we had at disney with my cousin and uncle, we were at the parks every day, and i was walking on my ankle with no help. people were constantly turing to me saying "Should you be walking with a sprained ankle?"

and it took nearly 2 weeks for the swelling to do down.

I was by the McDonalds French Fry Stand between Frontierland and Adventure land.

The birds were everywhere dive-bombing down on the park guests trying to get their french Fries.:(
Man, the same thing happens to me every year. Same place, every September. It's crazy.

On my first trip to wdw (in summer of 00...i have now been there 6 times and love it) my family (my parents brother and sis) was walking out of epcot..it had been pouring and my shoes no longer had real grips left on the bottom of them. I was walking past spaceship earth and slipped and did the slips in front of everyone. people starred at me and my mom made the biggest "are you okay!!!!!???" deal out of it.
