Think for yourselfer
Disney has a long history of talking about things that never get built. Just because they are saying it is in early development, does not mean it is a definite go. Currently it looks like it is going to happen, but things change, in a few months everything may have fallen through and AvatarLand will have gone the way of Western River Expedition.

Because as of now there's absolutely nothing else on the horizon for WDW.

Granted...That wasn't an actual question...I meant it in a way as Disney is just reinforcing the point that AvatarLand is continuing to be in the works.

OK I'm staying out of any more Avatar discussion...;)

Sounds like this has absolutely nothing of substance as most of us already knew would happen. Press gets to see the dragon & gets a weak (at best) mention that "hey we still have Avatar coming, look! James Cameron!", & look how great DCA is doing... with something original & quality-driven. Someone wake me if something unexpected happens.

why would they bring up CARSLand success at DCA at a press event at WDW if they weren't going to mention a CarsLand coming to DHS? assuming the press event is over, was anything more said?

It's a smokescreen for the media. They say "DCA is doing great!" Which looks favorably on the company as a whole, which therefore appeases the stockholders. They hear DCA is doing well & look at all this "great" stuff MK just got! AND TT just re-opened? Everything is juuuuust dandy at Disney. Just make sure you shove those occupancy ratings for WDW under that HUGE area rug along with maintenance issues, quality downgrades on already existing merch, food, & rides, & the fact that UNI is constantly moving towards being a much better resort than in past years.

It, IMO, is no different than a magician's slight of hand. Look over here (DLR) while nothing of any interest is going on over here (WDW).

Meanwhile on the other side of town, Universal is full steam ahead on the recently announced Transformers (which is light speed by comparison to the snails pace of FLE) and the yet-to-be-announced Potter 2.0. When that gets announced...I'd love to see the inner halls of TDO. I'm sure there are bigwigs there completely oblivious to the goings-on outside of their desk.
