More of an Alton Brown fan than a whole Food Network fan. But I do love the Iron Chef America
Alton Brown rocks hardcore. I found out too late that a friend from college actually worked on his show for a couple of seasons. I threatened her with bodily harm because she failed to tell me that before production wrapped (so I couldn't take advantage of it an demand a visit to the set).

I got a heapin' pile o' cash to help out with my upcoming trip to DLR, plus a few tools and some comfy sleep pants. Plus a few restaurant gift cards. :slurp:

Original Poster
-Queen "We are the Champions" T-Shirt

-my ZazzleShop "October 1st" T-Shirt

1. Must. Have. :D

2. I ordered a t-shirt from Zazzle over two weeks ago, via the 4-7 business day shipment. Sadly it didn't come in time for Christmas, and I had but a card to give to my sister. :(

My wonderful girl got me a Kitchen-Aid Stand Mixer, with the instructions to bake her some cookies, which I promptly took care of. Also, in the "Enderikari Loves to Cook Category) I got an electric knife, Turkey Platter, Roasting Pan, new chef knifes, and a mandolin slicer. I also got enough cash to go on a cruise from my parents, a GI Joe set from my brother (its a running joke we have had since the 80's), Best Buy Gift Certificates.

All in all, besides swallowing my tooth crown, a pretty darn good Christmas

The cheese ball recipe in the book you get with the mixer is awesome! :slurp:

I got my "biggie" present a couple weeks ago, a beautiful heart shaped diamond for my engagement ring.

My 2 year old gave me scotch tape and some Auburn visers.

The 6 year old gave me a Santa figurine and Auburn golf towel/tees/balls

Hubby have me all the fixins for Blue Glow-tinis (Whispering Canyon) and Watermelon Martinis (Fulton's Crab House).

Santa gave me bath stuff and a coffee mug.

True. In fact, I am already working on a way of putting a flame decal on the side of my mixer, Alton-style.

I am a huge food network fan, but was never much of an Alton Brown fan until the Dining on Asphault series. After that, he began to grow on me and I really like him now.

War Eagle! Auburn Alumni here, though I inadvertently gave my younger brother one of my Auburn caps (left it in the hotel room my family was staying in, have three replacements)

ooo.... Auburn talk. :lookaroun

There's an Auburn alum (my cousin) in the next room over, should I wake him up and drift this thread into oblivion?

You might want to check with him to see if its required to include the word "Dayum" between the words War and Eagle......:ROFLOL:

Isn't this thread, by its very non-disney nature, a gigantic thread drift? Well, I would hate to have you wake anyone up though

Well, it sort of does. War Eagle is a ubiquitous phrase, with many appropriate uses. It can be used as a greeting, an interjection, punctuation, and many more. Adding the "dayum" only serves to modify the phrase based on intended intensity

Nonsense, the drift begins when we discuss something other than gifts (or actually, by the vague nature of the title it could mean speeding tickets and venereal diseases among other things).

That being said, you know I'm evil :) I woke him up before I knew Auburn was mentioned in this thread.

He says "War Eagle!" in his very smooth latino accent while I say "Thank god my Alma Mater had horrible athletics when I attended."
