What you've all been waiting for

Ohh believe me, I have seen it all. Maybe not all, but close enough... I know people come on here claiming to be an insider, spreading nothing but wishful thinking... Getting the board in a frenzy, only to see that account suspended or banned 2 days later for being a fraud... I think that has happened a lot in the last 2 years...

Hehe, you are totally talking about that weirdo who came in posting all kinds of "insider" info about "super deluxe autograph books" and all kinds of whimsy about Star Tours 2.0, aren't you? :)

A whole pile of people drank his Kool-aid and were ready to anoint him King of the World, but some of us resisted somehow...I guess that's what being a member here for years does to you. :)

And people give us grief for not blindly listening to every Tom, Dik, and Harry that pops in with "NEW" information!

And can someone please tell me nice job on the schematic and pointing out the retention ponds!!? :D

I'd be happy to.

Thank you very much for offering up that great photo/schematic! I studied it for quite some time and found it to be the most interesting image offered thus far in this thread. Disney construction projects always fascinate me, and your workmanship on that photo schematic was excellent and much appreciated. Thank you again!

I don't have a dog in this fight over the meet n' greets versus the mine coaster. Frankly I find both concepts to be a tad underwhelming. But even though as a West Coaster I've got plenty of construction to watch with the massive DCA makeover, the overall FLE construction project is also interesting to follow along with.

This is all really interesting and I really enjoyed Ignohippo's overlay of the plan on the aerial photo. I only have one small question. The large concreted area across the wall from the current Dumbo ride appears only to have a couple of access trails to the restaurant. That looks like a lot of concrete for the use shown on the plan. Is that really what it will be for, or is that area changing also?

If you're talking about what I think you are, that area was where Ariels Grotto used to be (or the area right in front of it). That concrete slab is the roof of rooms downstairs in the Utilidors, and can't really be changed very easily. Eventually I presume they'll add topsoil to it and put grass there, or something like that.

Thanks Rob, I didn't know about the utilidor roofs (I knew they had them, just not where). That probably explains why there is not much planned to be put on them.

That aerial view just showed me how huge of an expansion this really is. all of that space is going to add so much to the quite small Fantasyland and is just going to add so much to this already amazing atmosphere. Keep the pics coming!

The huge chunk of land in the center of FLE will hold a good sized Snow White ride. I hope the wait and "re-thinking" of FLE brings us an overall better product in the end. if it does, then all this waiting and speculation will have been worth it. MK really needs to get this right. FL is the heart and soul of a DL style park and plus this is the first MAJOR add to the MK in 20 years (wow - 20 years. Wonder if it will be the 60th anniversary before we get anything else big?)

i hope so =) i went to the judge's tent yesterday to do a meet and greet for tinkerbell and to my dismay she had a 90min wait time. the princesses were only 15min. i dont understand why pixie hollow was scrapped when tinkerbell's meet and greet line is always packed.

Because not all of Pixie Hollow appeals to many guests. They could have just used the land to make Neverland and they could keep Tink and make a mini-land worth visiting.
