What you've all been waiting for

So, I wonder when they plan on yanking down all the Toontown stuff?

Great question! Once that happens I think the actual view of this entire project will really look massive!

And looking at the blueprints for the plans vs. the actual picture we're now seeing, there is tons of space for a great ride. Why dispute that when there are so many little things on that plan Disney can shift? Paths, trees, etc. all goes out the window with the M&G getting the axe!

Thank you, Scott Keating and WDW Magic, you made my day!

jt04, what are you on about with this?

"Looks like Disney lifted the restrictions. I think I see what changed that made that possible. :animwink:"

He had to say that to cover his tracks on his misguided notion that Disney had somehow restricted any and all aerial photography of the area.

As if Disney has that power. There's no way they could prevent anyone from taking aerial photographs.

Juan makes perfect sense in what he is saying. The proposed coaster will take up a good chunk of that space, which will mean the new Fantasyland phase 1 wont be quite as open as it appears in the concept art. ie. less open areas, more building.

As long as the new attractions include integrated stroller parking spaces, the walkways shouldn't be dangerously narrow. :ROFLOL:

The proposed coaster better get built, because the tunnel wasn't expanded.

Stroller parking should be outside the castle walls. Problem solved!

Looks great! But I do not think there's enough room for another huge showbulding in the south portion of FLE. Where's the mine coaster suppose to be anyway? BATB and LM are so massive though. I love it.

Some of the BATB steel includes Belle's village area (for the façades). There's enough empty space to drop in the carousel, Dumbo, and the tea cups, so there should be enough for a decently sized attraction.

A few things to point out about the BatB area:

The the brown steel is structural steel and the gray steel is decorative steel.
The gray steel, once fully built, will get toothpicks (a Disney term) for the steel mesh of the mountain to be attached to. After that, concrete will be applied and sculpted into the mountain and castle.
Wait... I thought the gray steel was for Belle's cottage and the brown steel was for the Beast's Castle. :veryconfu

Here's an overlay that I whipped up using Mr. Keating's photography (hope that's OK if it's just for this purpose) and the overlay of the blueprints. Seems like there's plenty of area for some sort of coaster there.

Amazing how perfect the blueprints are, and how we can already envision what's going on!

Have you seen the leaked blueprints? Do you honestly think that a ride of any appreciable size would be able to fit into that Cinderella/Aurora complex?

Obviously, a ride of any sort would require much more space than a meet and greet complex, meaning that the open spaces of trees and bushes would be turned over to any project that comes next. I'm not sure why it's difficult to understand that a ride wouldn't take up any more space than a meet and greet building.

The coaster has very small, tight turns and goes over and under itself. Between the tunnel and outdoor ares it will fit perfectly.

Stroller parking should be outside the castle walls. Problem solved!

They already have designated stoller parking areas for all of the expansion...yet people will more than likely still park them in the middle of walkways like they always have.

SW Coaster

Isn't it possible the mine cart coaster could occupy not only the Cinderella/Aurora area but also the former Pixie Hollow area? Those three sections combined would be plenty of space.

So, given the fact that Raven has obviously seen the plans, and probably even has a copy, and says that it's cool, and that it'll work, well, I suppose we should just go with it for now, until it's announced! Right?

That was a great overlay you did on page 2.... Yes, we can really see how things are shaping up... The area for Project X really seems larger than what we can see in any aerial photos... I think the new ride will fit nicely....

Think Disney will give us a Christmas present and announce this within the next month?? Would be nice for some concept art during the Very Merry Christmas Parade on TV this year.....

How can most of you think that the area is "small." Look at it in comparison to the Pooh show building. You could quite easily fit 3 1/2 to 4 pooh buildings in this area if you chopped it up. That's huge.

Thank goodness you guys are here to explain that aerial shot to me. I saw the blueprints, but I had a hard time understanding them. I stink at reading maps too. :o

It was mentioned/theorized that Pooh would be staying within the confines of his new 100 acre woods (can't blame him, it looks nice there) and the M&G wasn't going to be across the way... I this is true, even more space for the mine.
