If that's the case then why now. Why did they never change the afternoon parade time any of the other three decades they've been doing parties until now?

Not sure if this is true, but someone in my planning group said MK closes an hour earlier for MVMCP this year.
I wasn't too worried either way, so haven't checked.

Translation this is another cut at a park that's seen too many already, So devalue that one day ticket even further for 4 months of the year and for those who bought the expensive party ticket whack an hour off their stay at the parks. The financial engineering at WDW simply disgusts me. I can't even hate it properly I'm simply disgusted beyond words.
I can remember when the parties were 29.95 and there were FAR more decorations and entertainment and snack stations than there is now with the ticket price north of $100, But we enable Disney by continuing to give them money (well I don't anymore except for DVC MF's)

Ok wait a minute.. I don't even know if what I said is true or not. It's what someone in my planning group posted.. I didn't verify it.. was kinda hoping someone here may jump in and say if it's correct.
If it's true, I'm not upset by it. We didn't stay anywhere close to 7pm on our non MVMCP MK day.. and on our MVMCP night the first few hours were extremely crowded. If closing the park an hour early helps with crowds, and gets non party guests out faster, then I don't see a downside.

Yes. MK will close at 6 pm on MVMCP nights in December only.

Yes it's unsubstantiated, But based on what TDO has been doing lately it has the 'ring' of truth to it, Also remember the outrage over the 'Experiment' of removing Characters from DL runDisney events forced Disney to reinstate them the next day. So even if this is a trial balloon it should be showered in riducule and disgust.

With HEA maybe? I remember a couple years MK closed at 6 with Wishes at 6. I know 2007 was one them since that was the first year for the Castle Dream Lights.
