What should EPCOT's rehab priorities be?

Which pavillions are in the most desperate need for some kind of rehab (be it total replacement or major rehab work)? In what order should Disney prioritize such rehabs? Here's my opinion...

(1) Living Seas
(2) Wonders of Life
(3) Imagination
(4) Space Ship Earth

I believe the one with the most-needed rehab would be Wonders of Life. Body Wars feels like nothing anymore and i'm sure all of us agree on that. And it's just lacking, well, everything. The next one in line is The Living Seas, but I wish they'd just throw down that Finding Nemo rehab on it ASAP. Next would be Imagination, but only JIIWF. And last but not least is Spaceship Earth. It would be nice for a rehab but i'd like to see the first three done first before something is done with SSE.

Both Wonders of Life and Living Seas need reasons for people to go to those pavillions again. Living Seas is just another aquarium now and Wonders of Life is not much other than some outdated movies and a so-so simulator. Both of them should be up next for a rehab. After that, I would turn attention to Spaceship Earth. The ride is still good and could use some sountrack changes, but the real attention needs to be payed to the Global Neighborhood area. The rumored "Time Racers" could be nice. After that, Universe of Energy should probably be next. Replace the Ellen movie with something else (maybe something a little more timeless). Finally, I would like to see a few more attractions added to the Imagination and Test Track Pavillions (there must be more room in those show buildings that isn't currently being used).

I just want to point out that while many here may not like Ellen, she is still appreciated by others. Take this as an example. I went with my mom to EPCOT a few months ago. She hated the new Imagination ride, loved Mission: Space (she usually hates "fast" rides), loved Test Track, thought Wonders of Life was in desperate need of a rehab and was very outdated (specifically Cranium Command, which looked so... 80's!), but she LOVED the Ellen rework of Universe of Energy! So maybe us hard-core Disney fans may not appreciate Ellen, but those lesser Disney "fans" may appreciate her.

Even so, one day, Ellen would be obsolete and outdated. Could happen tomorrow. Or could happen ten years from now. In any case, Disney Imagineering should be prepared to replace it when that time comes. But that time is not now. The time is now for Living Seas and Wonders of Life!

I would say that Wonders of Life is in desperate need of a rehab. When I went there this summer, it had practically no lines. The biggest wait was at Body Wars, at that was just waiting for the previous ride to end. While there have been some minor changes to make it look more modern, the whole pavillion still has that feeling of being built nearly 15 years ago. Yes, they have done some stuff to modernize it. I think those computers have some modern information about health, although I didn't look at them too long so I don't remember. But it seems time to redo WoL completely.

I think the first priority should be the Living Seas. The movie and ride were soooooo outdated. Wonders of Life should be next.

And, I personally think Ellen's a riot. The dinosaurs in Universe of Energy make me snooze and Bill Nye the Science Guy sucks, but Ellen's funny enough.

I may get beat up for saying this, but...I know we all love Epcot because it was Walt's vision for the future and what not...but, times change and what was no longer is. In order for Epcot to continue being successful, it's going to have to change. Just my humble opinion. Please don't hurt me!!!

Though imagination may be ______________, they've spent way too much money on it lately. They probably won't touch that for at least five more years if not more. From what I've been hearing, Living Seas and Wonders of Life are equally horrible. I didn't even know the ride had stopped inside of the Living Seas because I've stopped going in there the past three years! Epcot is my favorite park, but it desparately needs rehabiliation. Leave Universe of Energy alone (I think Ellen is hilarious and quite entertaining) but as for Spaceship Earth, I don't know. I've heard it can't support a new ride system. We wouldn't want to put a new roller coaster in breaking the foundation and dislodging the ball, leading it straight towards Islands of Adventure would we? :sohappy:

So i guess the consenus has been reached that WoL, Living Seas and, universe of energy are probably the top three pavillions that are in need of the most help. Of those three i certainly feel WoL is screaming for help. It definetly still has that 'built 15 years ago and havent been touched since' feeling about it. Body Wars used to be cool but it just feels so 80's now.

Living Seas? Is that the thing with all the fish or something.....couldn't really tell ya because its probably been atleast 5 or 6 years since ive even bother to go in there-enough said about that i guess. Universe of Energy is such a snooze. Way too long, way too boring. Only thing i ever find that ride good for is a nice cool place to take a 45 minute nap. I agree that it definetly needs something more timeless/interactive/entertaining. Not to mention those seats are kinda uncomfortable.

One note about Imagination...i was more than thrilled (like everyone else) that after its latest rehab it has returned to its more classic state. The last time i waas on it i had a blast. The only thing that really irks me still is the fact that all of the upstairs area was closed down. It is so painful to stand in the lobby and look up near the elevator and just see the lonely figment just hanging there, longing to invite you to come up to a place that used to be fun. All of that kodak photo stuff just doesnt do it for me. (Although it certainly keeps the mouse happy since it keeps the cash registers busy while all the tourists buy that stuff)
Anywho...those are just my thoughts. Maybe Disney will finally catch the drift one of these days.

P.S.- Does any one have any info as to what it looks like up stairs in Imagination? Im curious to see how gutted it probably is now. I have this weird obsession to see now defunct places and such :animwink:

If you had read my post, I clearly said that I thought that Wonders of Life, Living Seas and Global Neighborhood were priorities over Energy. I wasn't sugesting they change it tomorrow, I was just saying after they finish rehabing those pavillions, Energy should be the next candidate to get a good redo.

Well let's see..... The Living Seas has probably gone the longest without any significant changes. Then again, How do you make big changes on something that involves live creatures?

Other than that.

1. Wonders of life

2. Universe of Energy

Those are the only two that I think need some changes. I like Spaceship Earth the way it is. And as for the Global Neighborhood I don't care if it stays or goes. Makes no difference to me.

I would say the WOL needs the update the most. The pavilion is really outdated. Look at the interior of the building, all of the health stuff looks outdated. Even the uniforms on the CM's are outdated horribly. I wouldn't say that the Living Seas really needs an extensive update, because I think sea base alpha still looks fine. I think it just needs something added to it to give it a spark. Maybe the little mermaid show from TDS, or maybe a dark ride with Nemo. WOL is fine the way it is right now and Imagination won't be touched for a while because they just did a rehab on it. SSE should never be changed, its too much of a classic to the park and they have already done away with two awesome classic rides.
